Our new website is finished and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

So a little about what you’ll find online…

1. We’re starting small. I wanted to launch a very small, but thoughtfully curated collection of clothing and jewelry. This way we can make sure everything is running the way it should as we get used to the online space.

2. We’ll start dropping new collections every other Wednesday starting in June. So you’ll always have new, fresh pieces to shop!

3. The collections will be very limited! That way we can keep offering new styles. So if you see something you like definitely snag it before it’s gone!

4. FREE shipping on orders over $75 and always FREE local pickup

5. Easy returns… we did our best to accurately show and describe each piece but if you ever need to return an item we’ve made it very easy with our online return portal. And always reach out if you have any questions!

I NEVER post anything like this… because I like to be like Switzerland when it comes to taking sides.

BUT my problem is with the embarrassing graphic posted by the Lyon County Observer in our community FB page. This is not about who’s right or wrong. I literally know nothing in regards to it.

It’s about recognizing that these are real people, real families. And how things like this need to be handled without making our town look like an episode of Jerry Springer. Can we all please start acting like adults and lifting each other up in this community instead of tearing each other down?

I love our town so much and that page should be posting about what makes CG great- not that garbage.

2021 —> 2026

Sooo much has changed over the last 5 years. When we opened in 2021 the store was mostly home decor. But right before opening I decided to also offer a very small amount of clothing, just to see how it’d do. I’m all about experimenting and seeing what sticks!

Well, it was a hit 🤗 I slowly started replacing shelves of home decor with racks of clothes. And 5 years later as I work on *finally* getting our store online, we’re going be listing those cute clothes for you to shop!

I’m so thankful for your feedback and thoughts on listing the clothes online. THANK YOU for sharing your messages and ideas with me. It gave me the encouragement to give this a try.

We’re launching our website on May 13th, right around the same time as our 5 year anniversary 🎉

And in thinking about the last 5 years, I also feel pulled to share photos, videos and reflections relating to opening our store. So over these upcoming weeks expect to look back with me as I also share what will be next!

We’re coming up on 5 years at Weathered Wood Home and it has had me reflecting and feeling all the feels. I’m considering finally putting some things online IF there is interest.

Since clothing is by far our best selling category, I would probably start there IF you liked that idea. I need to know if that gets you excited or if you’re like meh 🤷‍♀️

I have no idea if I’d make a website, just list them on Facebook, do live sales… I have no idea, I’m seriously just winging it here and want your input.

If you do like the idea, please tell me what you’d like to see!! Style, price, clothing category, etc.

Friends (I’m going to say this with love)… Amazon, Target, Wal-Mart, etc does not care about you or ask for your input like a small business boutique does. This is your opportunity to ask for exactly what you want to have offered. You can help me create this for YOU!!

What do you want to see, how do you want to us to get it to you (free shipping, local pickup, delivery), how can we make it feel fun and personalized (live shopping, private shopping)… tell me all the things!

Welp, WWH customers I just wanted to share with you that today will be my last day here at the store. I have some big and wonderful life changes happening and have decided to step back so I can focus on what is ahead. I am so sad to be leaving Weathered Wood and have loved my 3ish years managing the store. Small town retail will always have my heart and I know this isn't the end of me being a part of the Council Grove Main Street community. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers for making this the best job ever and to Lindsey for giving me the opportunity to do what I love!
