Here they are! Revealing our patterns for the 2026 Puget Sound LYS Tour.

Knitting: The Arwyn Shawlette by BreAnna Havel.
This one skein crescent shaped shawlette is perfect for a delicate accent piece or as a little something to keep the chill off your shoulders and neck.
Uses just 1 skein of Malabrigo Arroyo (a sport/DK weight yarn).

Crochet: The Deception Pass Beanie by Robin Lachnit. With an unusual zig zag that brings to mind the local wonder that is Deception Pass Bridge this lightweight and interesting hat aims to make a statement and add whimsy to your wardrobe.
Using two colors of the stunning Malabrigo Arroyo, 2 skeins will give you two hats - as you only need 50g of each color to make it.

Special Shop Hours next week during the Puget Sound LYS Tour.
Wed 13: 10 AM - 8 PM
Thurs 14: 10 AM - 8 PM
Fri 15: 10 AM - 8 PM
Sat 16: 10 AM- 6:30 PM*
Sun 17: 10 AM - 6:30 PM*

All Shops are open extended hours. Sea Bre’s Yarn stays open an extra half hour on Sat and Sun to help those of you traveling on the ferry. So don’t fear, if you can get a reservation (or drive up spot) on the 5:15pm ferry from Pt Townsend we be open for your arrival to Coupeville.

It’s that time again, the Puget Sound LYS Tour is just under two weeks away (gasp!) Bags are on sale now.

This year we have a larger tote bag, featuring winning artwork by Alex Deavers on one side and 25 places to put shop pins on the other. There’s a good sized pocket inside too.

Our second bag is a mini tote with a snap closure. It’s a perfect little project tote. Both totes are available at all 25 shops on the tour, while supplies last. And don’t forget to pick up your free passport!

Yes, we have red yarn and our staff has knit and crocheted the “melt the ice hat” and can answer your questions. We are encouraging customers to buy the pattern directly from the MN shop that designed it as they are donating all the proceeds to immigrant aid agencies. Pattern can be found on Ravelry or at the Needle & Skein shop website.

I’ve big feelings about what is going on in our country, this past year has been rough. Just remember: We have friends everywhere!
