My focus is nature. I have always had a love for nature, animals and the environment as a whole, but until just over 10 years ago, I never saw it for what it was... ART. Mother Nature is the ultimate creator. When I take a walk in the woods, I am rejuvenated and inspired. The life and creativity is reborn in me each time. The more I create, the more ideas I have. I never cut something down just to

make my art. I find what has fallen, lift it up, clean it off and give it a new life. When I make each piece in my shop, I am feeling happy, excited, powerful, soulful and complete. I always create when I am in this state and no other, because I want my buyers to feel this energy when they look at and hang my art in their space. What I do has transitioned as I have walked through life and become so much more than just making art. It is life. It is peace. It is getting in touch with something more. We live in a cookie cutter world and it is pretty sad to me. I don't want to walk into my neighbors home and see the exact same décor as I have. I want something special and unique that reflects me and how I live. I promote sustainable, reusable, responsible and artistic living. I love community. I love connecting with people. Hold us in your hearts tonight as we spend our last hours with our Sweet Pea. Tomorrow she joins her sister from another mother in the next life. Brutal. We lost Sloppy Joe a few months ago and now we have to say goodbye to this sweet girl. We found them as babies only weeks apart and now we lose them after 17 years only months apart. Our animals are our family and this just never gets easier. So many years and so many memories. I love you sweet girl 😭❤️

I griped about this last year and now it’s even worse. I’m trying to stay away from processed, and chemicals and all these mainstream brands but damn it’s maddening. And as you can see, not all of these are organic, it’s not the free range eggs I would prefer, and it’s mostly just fill ins or things to bake for the kids to grab and go when I am not here. I do anything and everything I can to help any animal in need. I try to handle it on my own and not ask for help. But as I am still paying off the vet bills from my 17 year old cat that got sick and passed away, plus paying off a kitten I took in from a guy outside a store which no one else would take, I am asking anyone who has a little extra to contribute. This sweet little girl has a vet appointment first thing Monday morning and I want to have her tested and get her rounds of shots, and she will be spayed. For this custom art piece, the client asked that the slices not be perfectly round. She wanted them in different shapes so that some of the natural wood would be showing around the painted circles.
She also asked that I make them thin like my coasters so I had to do something different on the back. Typically the slices are thick enough that I just drill holes in the back to receive a push pin tack for hanging on the wall. I always try to make multiple angles available for hanging so the client can choose which direction they want to hang the slice in. So for these thin slices, I used jaw tooth hangers instead of drilled holes. I added the felt pads to make sure the slice would hang evenly on the wall, achieving a sort of floating effect of that all makes sense. Incredible care is taken in my work. Everything from the front to the back is carefully thought out and executed ❤️
