In addition to antiques, we love anything vintage and you never know what we’ve repurposed; we take anything – the rustier the better – and turn it into something amazing! Our customers love Eight Gates for its uniqueness and because they know they can always find something new and exciting! My husband, Mike, and I decided to start Eight Gates because we’d run out of room at our farmhouse. I’d lit

erally filled every storage building and barn on our property! The idea for the name of the shop came from all of the gates (eight of them!) on our farm. In addition to antiques, I’ve always loved salvage stuff. I have a discarded airplane on my barn roof and a copper church steeple in my back yard if that tells you anything! Because of my salvage obsession, guess what? We are out of room again so we’ve recently expanded Eight Gates with the addition of a garden/salvage center to bring our customers more great salvage finds, garden furniture and items, plants and more. Mark your calendars for the Cowpens Area Merchants Association Fall Market on Saturday September 19th from 9-2 ! This is going to be another great shopping day in Downtown Cowpens. We have over 20 vendors participating in this event with a huge variety of unique crafts, antiques, baked and canned goods, jewelry, custom t-shirts, accessories and SO MUCH MORE!
