Please make note that we will be CLOSED ON MONDAY, MAY 25TH, in Observance of MEMORIAL DAY‼️

We will be OPEN on Tuesday, May 26th at 9am and be open the rest of the week our normal hours of 9am to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday!

We are saddened to share this news.

Nancy S. Ward, age 76, of Baker, Florida, passed away on Friday May 08, 2026. She was born on May 24, 1949, in Opp, Alabama, and moved here in 1964 from Pensacola, Florida. Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.

Nancy worked as a seamstress for over 30 years at Margie’s Nylon & Lace, where she was known for her dedication and hardworking spirit. She was Baptist by faith and found joy in life’s simple blessings, especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loved playing the piano, a pastime that brought comfort and happiness to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Naomi Cook.

Nancy leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Tom Ward, her sons, Gerald Ward (Kelly), Shane Ward (Cheryl), and Ronnie Ward, her daughter, Wynell Badger (Ricky) her brother, Danny Cook (Lauina), 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Nancy’s kindness, strength, and love for her family will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 13th at 2:00 PM from Pilgrim rest Baptist Church Baker, FL with a burial to follow at Goodhope Congregational Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends for visitation the night before May 12th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service Crestview, FL.

Brackney Funeral Service Crestview is entrusted with arrangements.
