I have been a photography fanatic since I was a kid.

I enjoy capturing those 'once in a lifetime' moments on film so that they can be admired for years to come. I absolutely love photographing nature... more specifically, the sky & landscape... although, there's nothing like capturing wildlife at its best. The camera tends to catch life’s little details that the eyes don’t always see at first glance. When my camera is in my hand, it forces me to “st

op & smell the roses”... to take that extra minute & truly appreciate the scenery.

Curious about the story behind our name?

Our valley was named after a Cherokee Chief, and the word Sequatchie is derived from the Cherokee word "Sequachee," which translates to "opossum he grins or runs." Hence, the birth of our collective, The Grinning Possum!

At The Grinning Possum, we're proud to call the Sequatchie Valley our home. We offer a space for local artists to showcase their talent, residents to explore and engage with the arts, and everyone to become an integral part of our vibrant community.
