MEET ME MONDAY! Meet Amy McKernan, founder of Funky Trunk Jewelry ✨ Amy grew up surrounded by creativity, with an artistic family that inspired her from a young age. Although she followed a path in PR, journalism, sports marketing, and public relations, she always had a passion for fashion and design and knew she wanted to do something more creative.
While raising her family, Amy began helping a friend with her jewelry business and discovered what women truly loved about meaningful pieces. While antiquing, she started noticing beautiful forgotten treasures that were just waiting to be transformed into something new.
In 2006, Funky Trunk Jewelry was born. What began with hand-rusted cross necklaces grew into a collection of unique, eco-chic jewelry that has reached customers and retailers across the country. Amy’s story is a reminder that creativity has a way of finding its path, and sometimes the most beautiful things come from giving something old a new life.
