It’s hard to put into words what the last month has looked like. The loss of someone who was a teacher, a mentor, a boss and ultimately a part of my family.
His lasting impact on my life and career has been monumental in so many ways. He never had to teach me to love music or be passionate about my work, but he did teach me commitment, determination, a strong work ethic, how to overcome adversity, attention to detail and most importantly, the value of surrounding ourselves with lifelong friendships.

I have seen the most incredible live performances, had iconic artists that became friends and illustrious minds I’ve been able to meet…too much greatness to even name, that I am lucky enough to have witnessed when working alongside him.

What resonates the most at a time like this, is the outpouring of support and love from all the people that are a part of my life because of him. So much of my circle and some of my closest friends, I found through Clive.

I know that planning his funeral was the hardest event I’ve ever had to do, but I also know it was everything he would have wanted. He would have been so proud of his family, in awe of all of the wonderful people that showed up, coming from near and far, the messages of love and gratitude, the heartfelt speeches, the moving tearjerking performances by Jennifer Hudson and Kenny G and the efforts of my team, pausing their own lives and rising to the occasion to help make it perfect. It all is a reflection of Clive and his immeasurable contribution to so many.

Our favorite part of any event was the day after recap of all the best moments, coverage, surprises and of course lots of laughter. He’s not here to do that this time, but I’ll keep looking for all the signs that tell me he is watching and of course still in charge. A little room with a lot of impact! We redesigned and refreshed this powder room a few years ago blending muted colors, sculptural stone, and warm metallic brushed gold accents for an elevated modern moment. Not new but timeless.
