Devin, you have made me so proud. Seeing you grow up into the fine young man you are today is more than any parent could ask for. I am so proud to be your ‘Asian Auntie.’
I have been watching you since you were just two years old. I know I was a ‘terrible’ auntie who fell asleep while trying to get you to bed—but it was really your fault for making me watch The Jungle Book a hundred times on repeat! I fell asleep and left you wide awake (I’m so sorry about that!).
You were also such a good dancer when you were young. You would try to show me your famous dance poses, but as soon as you turned around to perform—there I was, asleep again. I have so many stories where I was ‘bad,’ but it was never your fault. I think your parents were challenging themselves and challenging me back then!
Those days are gone now, and I am so glad you are here after all those episodes. You have turned into such a nice, kind young man to everyone. You are doing so well with school and the sports you love. I will be watching you and looking forward to all the success to come.
