Many, if not most, of my 2021 tea towel designs will retire, so if you’ve had your eye on anything, today is the day to fill your cart!
I just marked all I have left in my online shop down to $15 UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT when my shop closes for remainder of 2021 🥳

I hung all the monthly tea towels in the stairs to my studio to remind me of how far I’ve come in my creative process this year. I’ve experimented with illustration and repeat pattern making, and I’ve learned much! I’m excited to move into a new year of creating and carry the good things I’ve sifted from experimenting and bring better things to the cozy goods I offer YOU! Thanks for your support and encouragement on this journey!

Thanks to all who entered my home today! My heart is full of gratitude to have gotten to share my home, studio, new products and the best brunch charcuterie with you 🤍 Check out stories to live vicariously through the eyes of my pal as she experienced it!

Next year I vote for a Denton makers studio tour! I’m thinking party bus with wine flowing, stopping at artists studios all over town. Like a Napa wine tour but with handmade goods 🍷🪡🎨 any way don’t get me started….I’m a dreamer!

I made a big decision this year to let go of block printing. Block printing infused life into my products a few years back but in the last year it began taking from my body and joy, so agan after much consideration I’m ‘quitting’ or better ‘letting go’ or almost. I will only be block printing Swedish dish cloths for the foreseeable future. I feel great about the decision ✨🍑

Today I “celebrate” keeping at it! I like to finish things I start. I’m not a quitter, but I definitely contemplate quitting a lot and when I do “quit” something it’s for good reason and after extraordinary amounts of thought and prayer!

I am celebrating that in 2021,
I’ve stretched my illustration skills and created a tea towel for each month this year + a a handful of other products. It’s been a good challenge and I’ve learned a lot.

But I also am celebrating “quitting” or rather selling and passing the baton of to and that has allowed me more time to explore new ways of creating, healing my body and spending time with my littles!

It’s been quite a year + more, and at 57 I’m learning, stretching, accepting and growing at that’s something to celebrate!

Hello! Welcome to the Monday edition of
Today’s prompt is ‘seasonal’ and I have been hard at work creating my fall/holiday collection and have quite a few things on the making table and waiting to get listed in my shop.

Today I’m featuring my vintage inspired ‘Holiday Stamps’ pillow & ‘Happy Christmas’ tea towel as they are my most Christmasy goods. But, I tend to think of this time of year as “baking season”, so introducing the ‘Scone Recipe’ Tea Towel plus my first repeat pattern tea towel, the ‘Cozy Lodge’ tea towel.

All my pillows tea towels are my original designs and printed on linen/cotton through Tea towels are great for wall art or are work horses in the kitchen!

Just a little inspiration note, I baked countless scones from this recipe during the stay at home season of the pandemic and delivered them to friends to bring a little light to a dark season, my favorite add ins are dried cherries, walnuts and dark chocolate chips. The cozy lodge print was a pattern I have been wanting to create for years as it is a pattern partially designed by my favorite youngest daughter in her college days and I always dreamed of having yardage of the pattern. I finally overcame my repeat pattern anxiety thanks to and 🙌🏻There will also be ‘cozy lodge’ potholders in 3 colors coming November 17th when the entire fall/holliday collection launches.

My hope is that this 6 day photo challenge will help you learn a little about myself and the cozy goods that I make and maybe inspire your holiday shopping and it will help me get out of a bit of a social media funk.

STRESSFUL— the one word that best describes #2020 🥴 You know what has eased the stress of this year???? My neckwrap aka ‘my baby’, this thing has literally comforted and warmed my heart in a year of heartbreak!

I introduced these last year with raving success and this year they continue to be a favorite! This year’s version is a little larger, because more stress 😉 Filled with the most amazing lemongrass eucalyptus scented rice ❤️ Heat this baby up for 2-2.5 minutes and the stress will melt away!
✨I take mine to bed with me every night to ease my shoulders and low back pain, and most nights I pull it around to my belly and it is so cozy, like a hot water bottle 🔥available and in my web shop!

The new collection is inspired by my love for vintage, seeing as even I am now considered ‘vintage’ it seems appropriate! This has been a year of looking back and looking in and that is where I have found the most creative steam, though to be honest, it is just a trickle of steam. I am proud of this new collection because it is forward motion and I have felt paralyzed most of 2020!
