Hello everyone! Just wanted to pop in for a little update. I want to apologize to the folks who have reached out to me inquiring about our march Aftersale album!

Last Monday, our two year old, Thorin, woke up with a really nasty sounding cough and running a fever. I told Nick immediately, “I really don’t like that cough.” He had a rough 48 hours, but seemed like he was starting to be on the mead by day three. Unfortunately, that’s when our six month old started to display the same symptoms, which quickly got much worse 🙃 everyone knows that gut punch, stomach falling out of your body feeling you get when your *little little* baby gets sick during this time of year. A million and two different possibilities, none of them great.

Flash forward to Saturday morning, we’re in the emergency room after three days of antibiotics, now with an RSV diagnosis, a baby that’s oxygen levels want to stay in the 80s every time she falls asleep and who won’t eat, being transferred to the nearby children’s hospital to be admitted. Safe to say, Nick and I (and my mom) are definitely traumatized now I think.

Daphne is fortunately none the wiser though! One thing about all my babies: even when they are at their sickest, they stay in such high spirits it’s almost hard to tell, and she proved this weekend she’s the exact same way 😅

We got discharged and are home now, and have followed up with her p*p today. She is feeling much more herself 🤎 she enjoyed having all eyes on her and the only child treatment she got, and is back to eating and playing with her older siblings 🥰

As for Aftersale album, I will be working to get that up and reaching out personally to all the folks who asked to let yall know it’s ready, and will be doing a impromptu second sale this weekend to show the March collection off from table top view like I usually do to give them another chance at getting snagged that way (who knows maybe you’ll even see a few new colorways make an appearance too 👀) make sure to check back on my page tomorrow for more information on that!

Uh… hello?? I actually managed to carve out some time at the carder ✨just for fun✨ since Daphne was born I havent had any time for any crafting, especially now that I’m back to working overnights and cleaning houses on the side!

This lovely little guy is just for me, no idea what the finished yarn will turn into, but I know it will be a dream to spin! 🪐🧶 I think it will do me some good to have something new to play with!

Happy Thanksgiving/Indigenous People Day from the Sown from Stars family to yours 🤎✨

Our hearts are so full this year, nearly 30 of us made it to our family lunch this year 🥹 I hope everyone feels as blessed this holiday season ss i do. Last year the holidays started shortly after my grandfather passed away, and even though we were surrounded with all the same people, the hole he left felt so heavy and trying to celebrate felt like rubbing salt in a fresh wound. This year we were able to talk about all our loved ones we missed, laugh and smile, while holding onto the two sweet new baby girls they sent us over the last year.

I think this is like the only photo that exist of all of us (even excluding the babies) in one group. I don’t think we had photos of my brothers and I and our mother less than a decade old, and my husand and our crew haven’t taken family photos since before I got pregnant with Thorin (ya know, the two year old 🫣)

The color pallet inspo for today’s batts ✨🎨

Two of my themes for this month: holiday/winter solstice 🎄 and renaissance/ancient Rome and Greece 🌊🏺 I’m in loveeee with how this month’s line up is turning out. I’ve been driving myself crazy today figuring out how I’m going to work every last second for what it’s worth the next few days to get through thanksgiving, WAFA, and a side hustle job I have going on 🫠 but seeing all the pretty things I’ve made makes it worth it. Hoping I have time to squeeze in some finished batt post before the sale!!

What are some of your favorite ways to find inspiration for your craft? Do you just wing it or are you a meticulous planner?

A sneak peak at a some new things I’ve been working on for Wool and Fiber Arts next weekend 👀✨ I’m really proud of what I’ve come up with the last few weeks y’all! I stepped out of my comfort zone and really tried to bring some new stuff to the table and I’m in love with what’s come of it 🌈

The temps this week have been absolutely wonderful for dyeing, the sun has been shinning which is perfect for drying outside. It’s got me feeling extra creative, and with so many new things brewing this October it’s time to make space for the new and clean house a bit!
