Mint condition, rare, large collection of Villeroy and Boch “Acapulco” theme porcelain dinnerware – 96 pieces. SOLD ONLY AS A SET.

Created in 1967 by famed porcelain-ware manufacturer Villeroy and Boch of Luxembourg, the Acapulco pattern dinnerware is one the most colorful designs ever produced by the famed porcelain maker. This vivid design has become an iconic and it is an ideal representation of late mid-century, BoHo – bohemian – chic style. The design was created by Christiane Reuter who was inspired by paintings she viewed on a visit to Mexico. The forms of the pieces were designed by Ludwig Scherer.

Our set, which is in mint condition – no chips, cracks, fading or crazing - offers the brown backstamp and dates from the early 1980’s. This large size set of 96 pieces is extremely rare. Our set has NEVER BEEN USED.

The brown company backstamp was utilized by Villeroy and Boch for its Acapulco pattern dinnerware production from the early 1980’s until production ceased in 1994.

The term “dishwasher safe” was added to the stamp in 1992…“microwave safe” was added in 1993. Because these pieces are rare and vintage, we recommend handwash only.

The Acapulco pattern remains one of the most sought and collected patterns produced by the famed porcelain-ware manufacturer.

Vintage (c1999) Hand-hammered, artisan-made, necklace plated with 24 karat gold, antique copper and antique bronze – hand made in Argentina - haute couture!

This necklace is a work of art, hand hammered, entirely hand made, in Argentina by artisans.  It is a stunning and lightweight.  The necklace is composed of rounded edged triangular shaped pendants – each made of metal which is is plated with 24 karat gold, antique copper or antique bronze  -- the base metal is brass...

Each pendant is hand-hammered for a unique form and shape.  The patinas are: brilliant gold, rose blush oxide gold and turquoise oxide gold

Each pendant is connected to the other by two small hinges and the pendants are in turn connected to a burnished metal collar.  There is a gold plated chain extension and toggle closure.

This necklace possesses an energy which accentuates the inner power, beauty and grace of the wearer – dramatic, stunning and elegant!

Very rare, highly detailed and hand-carved, ironwood singa. Made in Mas – Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. MINT CONDITION.

Singa is a magical from the mythology of the Batak people of North Sumatra, Indonesia. The singa represents a benevolent and protective power. The singa is described as "part human, part water buffalo, and part crocodile or lizard". It is variedly represented, but always has an elongated face, with big bulging eyes, a well-defined nose, and long spiralling beard. It is often represented only with its head, but sometimes it may also be represented full body. Other figures - such as other protective deity or ancestral figures - may also be represented standing or sitting on top of the head of the singa...

Very rare, hand made, vintage Chinese jade peach tree.

This miniature tree was made by highly skilled artisans in China and dates from the 1970’s. In recent years, Chinese collectors and the Chinese government itself have been acquiring these rare pieces in order to “re-patriate” them within China. They represent the very best in traditional Chinese workmanship and for this reason pieces like this which are located outside of China have been aggressively acquired by the Chinese and brought back within the borders of their country as an expression of national pride. This already rare piece for its workmanship and beauty is even more rare for this reason. It is almost impossible to find jade sculptural pieces of this kind and quality outside of China now.

The leaves and peaches of the tree are made of very beautiful, colored, jade. The leaves and peaches have been skillfully carved and polished to produce refined, intricate shapes. The tree trunk and branches are hand made with silk fabric wrapped over papier mache. The pot which contains the tree is made of very beautiful green jade.

For the Chinese, jade is a symbol of good fortune and the peach symbolizes long life. The larger more mature peaches of the tree represent older, mature life. These peaches show a deeper red color. The smaller, unripe, peaches, which are almost entirely green and white in color, represent new life.

This is an investment grade, extremely rare, artwork which represents a vanishing world of high craftsmanship.
