How To Make Alabama Orange Rolls 🍊🍊
Orange rolls were a staple dessert for me growing up. It was my birthday last week, and Lyndsy asked me if I wanted a cake or a pie. Cake??? ORANGE ROLLS. This recipe was created by my mother, who used her mother's quick yeast roll recipe as the base. I thought everyone ate these, but a lot of the people I've talked to haven't heard of orange rolls! I asked my mom if she cared if I shared this recipe with you, and she assured me that it was fine. So, enjoy.

Jacques Pépin's Secret Technique

I've been working to improve my cooking skills, and Lyndsy recommended that I pick up a copy of Jacques Pépin's Complete Techniques. The book demonstrated how to hard-boil and peel an egg, but Jacques takes it one step further and teaches how to turn that egg into a clown (Oeufs Durs en Clown). My personal belief is that Jacques Pépin wants to remind us that cooking should be a joyful experience and that we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously. It only takes a few minutes to take a boring food and transform it into something profoundly silly.

Kenji López's Extra-Crunchy Fried Chicken is INSANE!
I am a huge fan. "The Food Lab" was given to me by my mom as a gift and has remained my go-to cookbook for years. I'm honestly surprised that I didn't cook Kenji's extra-crunchy Southern fried chicken recipe sooner, but better late than never. This recipe is one of the best I've cooked on this channel. It is super crunchy, crispy, flavorful, and juicy. And there are extremely valuable chicken-frying techniques suggested in the recipe as well. This video isn't sponsored or anything, I just love the Food Lab.

I love AmericasTestKitchen and a month ago they posted a fried chicken recipe that has haunted my dreams. I tried my best to cook as faithfully to the recipe as possible, and I was not disappointed. I also share my feelings about the America's Test Kitchen app. Lan Lam is one of my favorite culinary educators and is always posting innovative cooking ideas. James Beard's Fried Chicken Recipe is... Interesting

In this video I am cooking James Beard's favorite Southern fried chicken recipe. I have been reluctant to try this recipe due to its simplicity. Lard is the special ingredient in this recipe, and since I am a lover of pigs, I do not want to have to cook my chicken in lard if necessary. I cooked half of the bird in lard and the other in vegetable oil and used my lovely wife's refined palate to make a decision about whether the use of lard is necessary.

Cooking This Garlic Butter Fried Chicken Healed Me

Vampires beware! In this video I attempt cooking the Cook's Country Garlic Fried Chicken recipe. This recipe is cool because it layers garlic into every step of the cooking process. This recipe includes a special marinade, egg-wash breading, and a delicious garlic butter topping. I had a blast making this recipe, and I learned lots of new stuff in the process.
