I love baking day, especially when I wake up to text messages with photos like these! My work day starts when I leave the property at 3:30 pm so it is always extra special when I get to take a treat to work! Fried apple pies made from sourdough and sugar free filling! It’s going in the family cookbook!

A couple of years ago I was watching the grandkids so their parents could have a date night. They were all out of their 'gaming time allowed' for the day. Zig asked if he could 'watch' an interactive show on Netflix where he makes decisions and moves the character through a story. I said it sounds like a game. He said, "It's just meh." Meh? No, Z you cannot watch it. I was in the middle of putting together an Ikea shoe stand and said, you can read to me and Little. He said, "No thanks." I said, "Okay, let's take turns making up a story." He said no and I pulled out my 'mean gramma' card and said you have to participate. Little started with, "There was a peach tree in the woods with a huge peach on it. I added, "The peach was super fuzzy." Zig said, "The end." Still makes me laugh. Impeccable timing.
