Reminder - Helpful Videos
We wanted to share some videos that have proven to be very helpful since the release of the new app, as it is currently a manual process for connecting to a local music library. The videos linked below contain step-by-step instructions for how to set up local library file shares:

Using the "Reset App" function:
Before you start working with a different Sonos system, you need to reset your app to ensure the proper email address / account is being used to set up or change system settings. Incorrect contact information can lead to system account mismatch issues. Resetting the app makes it easier to confirm the correct client login information is being used.
Using the new web app:
One of the great new features of the new Sonos app is the ability to access systems through a web-based interface. Although you cannot access all features of the Sonos system, you can utilize two key functions:
If you have your client's permission and login credentials, you can remotely log into their system and see if any zones are not connected or visible in About my system.
You can submit diagnostics to Sonos remotely, and use that diagnostic code to reach out to dedicated technical support
Windows and Mac Desktop controller:
Although we do expect many update issues to be improved with new releases, older firmware versions still may not update successfully. If this occurs, attempt to update using a Sonos S2 desktop controller (Windows or Mac), if available. After the update is successful you may also need to factory reset the player again to successfully register, or in some cases temporarily wire the player with an ethernet cable. The desktop controller is also still useful when configuring local music shares (especially using the third option “Network Devices”) as well as adding music services.
