This project started with one idea :
creating more privacy for a teenager.

But it quickly became about more than that.

Because designing for this stage of life
isn’t just about function…it’s also about identity.

We focused on both:

– A layout that feels separate, but still connected to home
– Layered lighting to soften the space
– Warm, minimal materials that don’t feel heavy
– And a clean, elevated style that feels personal — not temporary

A basement like this shouldn’t feel like an afterthought.
It should feel like their own world designed with intention. 🖤

Don’t treat it as a small detail / faucets define the entire feeling of the bathroom
• Invest in quality, this is something you use and touch every single day
• Pay attention to the finish, it sets the tone (matte, brushed, polished…)
• Think about proportions, the size and shape must fit the space and sink perfectly
• Choose one faucet line and carry it throughout the house
• Keep consistency across all bathrooms, it creates a calm, cohesive design language
• Avoid mixing too many styles, simplicity always feels more timeless

Art doesn’t have to be high-end to feel intentional.

A simple poster, a framed print, something you found while traveling … when placed thoughtfully, it can sit beautifully next to more valuable pieces. It’s less about price, more about composition, balance, and the story you’re creating.

We love mixing, letting one statement piece anchor the space, while lighter, more playful works soften it.

And just as important as what you choose… is where you place it.

The right wall, the right height, the right moment in the room, that’s what makes art feel like it belongs.
