Memorial Day is for the ones who never made it home. Freedom isn’t free. I extend my deepest thanks to those who served for us and our country and freedom. Moving forward I can never resonate Memorial Day with hot dogs, barbecues or other stuff. Our country needs to realize that FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. It’s not “Happy Memorial Day” to the families that have lost someone who fought for our rights.

A heartfelt thank you to Delta Sigma Theta for hosting a product drive in support of Refresh!

Through their generosity, they collected and donated 709 hygiene items that will help children in our community feel clean, confident, and ready to thrive.

This incredible act of service reflects Delta Sigma Theta’s longstanding commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, and service.

Today we celebrate every kind of mother.

The moms holding newborns in the middle of sleepless nights. The moms cheering in the crowd at graduations wondering how time moved so fast. The grandmothers whose love built generations. The bonus moms who stepped in and chose love wholeheartedly. The dog moms whose hearts belong to paws and wet noses. The mom’s grieving. The mom’s healing.
The moms doing their best quietly every single day without recognition.

Motherhood is not one story.
It is strength, sacrifice, comfort, protection, patience, resilience, and unconditional love in a thousand different forms.

To every woman nurturing someone, guiding someone, protecting someone, loving someone through every stage of life — today is for you.

Happy Mother’s Day. 🤍
