In honor of World Environment Day today, we wanted to share a couple of our favorite book recommendations for connecting with and appreciating the natural world around us. With our current societies fast pace environment, the rise of ai and other easy access short term solution tools, it can be hard to slow down and look at the big picture. We all get swept up in it sometimes. The important thing is that we recognize it, acknowledge it, and try to do better when and wherever we can; even if that’s as small as refilling your water bottle, switching your search engine, or turning off appliances when you aren’t using them. Every little bit counts, from the smallest bugs to the biggest trees. You can be the change you wish to see.🌳✨

It’s that time of year again! 🧚
The fairies are starting to come out of their hibernation in preparation for Fairy Fest next month, making for the perfect muses for our annual art competition! Submissions are open starting today until we close on June 13th at 2pm! So be sure to pull out your art supplies and get to work if you want to enter! Or if you just wanna enjoy the submissions, stop by during the fairy fest to see all the beautiful artworks on display in the store! ✨

Last night there was a chill in the air.
I could feel something missing. Suddenly,
I realized you weren’t there. Your absence rang out like church bells calling me to something higher. I found myself descending the stairs and rummaging through my closet. It was there I found a little bit of you to spare. A sweater you had made with care. I pulled it over my head and slipped my arms into the sleeves. Almost magically, the air seemed to shift. I could feel your warm embrace like you had always been there, waiting patiently for me.

When was the last time you sat down and focused on something simple? Something that required attention but not stress? Studies have shown that puzzles can help improve visual-spatial reasoning, short-term memory, and problem-solving skills; as well as combat cognitive decline, and help ease anxiety and depression in people of all ages. Especially good for long term mental dexterity, puzzles are also a great way to bond with other people. This allows for a casual distraction that removes some of the pressures of social anxiety and allows people to open up and grow closer, creating not only a calm relaxing space to explore your thoughts and feelings but also a shared experience to bond and reminisce over. So whether it’s taking some time to yourself or spending it with someone you care for, we highly recommend taking a moment away from the chaos of it all to focus on something simple and within your control. It truly can work miracles! 🔍✨
