I thought I was signing up for a card-making class... turns out I was joining a family.
💕 Tell me in the comments: Have you ever walked into a room full of strangers and left with lifelong friends?
It all started with the very first craft class I attended. Yes, my now-husband convinced me to go, but it was the warm welcome and the amazing women around those tables that kept me coming back month after month.
Those same ladies are still some of my biggest cheerleaders today. They've supported me in more ways than just buying products. They've encouraged me, prayed for me, laughed with me, cried with me, and even gave me the push I needed to start teaching my own card-making and paper crafting classes.
One of my favorite things is watching someone who says, "I'm not creative," finish a project and then light up when they see what they've made. That look gets me every time. This girl heart gets giddy.
The truth is, I don't do this journey just because I love crafting. I do it because sometimes the person sitting across the table needs encouragement, friendship, prayer, laughter, or simply a place to belong.
I stepped back a little this past year, but my in-person craft classes and crop trips never stopped. I couldn't imagine missing the chance to watch these incredible women love on each other—and me.
The cards are wonderful, but the friendships? Those are the real masterpiece.
And if you've been crafting with me for years or you've attended just one class, I'd love to know: What keeps YOU coming back? ❤️
