The book that started it all. Holy cow…. It doesn’t feel like it’s been 5 years since I started crocheting! 😱❤️ I am so happy I decided to teach myself and take up this hobby ❤️ It brings me so much peace and joy 🥹 A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me in this journey 💕 It is an honor and a pleasure bringing these gifts to life for you 🥹❤️

✨Sneaky sneak peak!✨
The struggle has been real lately. Between health problems, work, and stress over the state of things here in the US, my crojo has been running on empty. :(
Took a short break, found a new hobby making seamless patterns, watched some fellow crochet artists videos, and took a trip to the library looking for inspiration. I finally found something I wanted to create!
Got lots of new ideas and am excited to get back to work! For now, here is a sneak peek of what I am working on now! I absolutely adore this yarn and color! (Yarn: Loops & Threads Flecks; Color: Violet)

I just realized I forgot to share the last two squares for my completed books for the year! This first is for ACOFAS and the second for ACOSF. With these two done, the ACOTAR book series is complete. I LOVE this series so much ❤️ I reawakened the slumbering book nerd inside me lol. I can’t wait for book 6!

Ok, it may seem silly, but I am so intensely happy with how this turned out! I am very proud of what I accomplished ☺️
I have only sewn a liner to something once before, and it was….rough. I really wanted to use this gorgeous fabric for the liner of my bag though as I have been saving it for ages for just the right project.
After some trial and error, much frustration, almost giving up entirely, finding the strength and inspiration to keep going, ripping out the seams and starting over, this is the end result. Is she perfect? No, absolutely not. Did I learn some valuable lessons while making her? For sure! ❤️ I learned some new techniques for sewing, as well as some important pointers on tracing out and cutting patterns. I poured my heart and soul into the creation of this tarot pouch, and I couldn’t be happier with it ❤️ Now, I just need to make some ties for it (since I forgot to leave an opening for the button 🤦‍♀️😂).

A little passion project for myself 🥰 I stumbled across some patterns for Tarot pouches, and knew that I needed to make one❤️ The pattern I used for this one is by called the Selenic Tarot Pouch. I did make some adjustments to the pattern (following the call in my soul), but the pattern for creating the pouch is the same 💕
Adjustments made:
* I decided to surface crochet the moon onto the pouch rather than do color changes. I have never done surface crochet before, but my heart kept yelling that it would be perfect for this ❤️ My moon is a little rough, but I am still very pleased with how it turned out! ☺️
* I decided, rather than chaining at the tip to create straps, I wanted to sew a button on instead. Just my own personal preference there ❤️ (button is still in progress lol)
* The last thing I decided to do was make a lining for the pouch and mat ❤️ I am struggling with this part, however, as I have only sewn a lining once before, and it was just a straight forward (and rough result) pouch. I have some fabric cut and ready, but I am struggling to wrap my brain around the sewing part. 😅 Any tips/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Many lessons were learned with this square 😅
1) Crocheting into the third stitch takes a bit to get used to (and I am still not sure I have mastered it).
2) Don’t quit just because it’s hard. Keep going, trust the process, and remember that every attempt is a chance to learn something new.
3) Pay attention to the number of stitches in total for the squares 🤦‍♀️ This one, while absolutely gorgeous, is MUCH larger than the other two I have completed lol. I forgot that the booklet said there were two types of squares in the book: 80-stitch and 120-stitch 🤦‍♀️
I decided to gift this one to my mom since it was too large to use with the others ❤️ ACOWAR square coming up next!

This one was definitely a bit of a challenge, and I almost gave up on it, but I am glad I stuck it out and mastered it! I really like the appearance of the stitches in this one ❤️
This was for ACOMAF 😍 I want to make little mountains to add to it, I just need to decide the best way to go about that ❤️
