Vendor Spotlight: Big Dipper Wax Works.
Every good product has a good story— Big Dipper Wax Works especially.
The story began in the summer of 1993, when the company's founder was hiking along the rugged shoreline of Washington's Olympic Peninsula with his friend Hefe. As they watched the sun set and the stars come out, their conversation turned philosophical—and eventually, his eyes landed on the Big Dipper in the night sky.
In that moment, he pictured it, he could use the natural elements to create a simple, natural source of light: hand-dipped beeswax candles. And just like that, Big Dipper Wax Works was born.
More than 30 years later, Big Dipper continues to be dedicated to creating all-natural candles while staying rooted in the connection between nature, craftsmanship, and simple living.
We love the story behind Big Dipper because it reminds us that sometimes the most meaningful ideas begin with simply being outside, slowing down, and looking up. 💛
