Chaotic Collective is our featured vendor of the day for Handmade Holiday Dayton.
Chaotic Collectives describes themselves as, "As our name may imply, we are two friends who form a collective of chaos. Our love for crafting and diversity in skill allows us to seamlessly shift from one craft to another. Primarily, our focus is pottery (wheel thrown and hand-built), jewelry (mostly beaded necklaces and earrings, but also some metal smithed silver pieces as well), and wall art and prints of that art, which we also print on cards and t-shirts. "
"We use a variety of materials. Our art work tends to fall into two categories: collage and paintings. The collages incorporate up-cycled vintage magazines, mostly old National Geographics, and other old found or thrifted items such as cards, labels, etc. The paintings are primarily watercolors, but sometimes incorporate other paint-types to provide depth. Both paintings and collages are uploaded and printed onto high quality cards (blank on the inside) and onto t-shirts. "
"Jewelry has been a recent journey for us. Inspired by drawers full of beads Rachel brought from her late grandmother's house, we embarked to create a legacy line of necklaces and earrings inspired by these treasures. In addition to Rachel's grandmother's beads, our jewelry utilizes beads and jewelry from estate sales/ thrift stores (mixed with some newly bought beads). While our silver rings are still something we are working on making in large quantities, the some of the pieces we have incorporate semi-precious stones and pearls which have been bought second hand at estate sales."
Chaotic Chaos will be at Handmade Holiday Dayton on December 5 and 6 at the one and only Yellow Cab Tavern!!!!!
