🍓🍰🫐🎥📺 🇸🇮 Tomorrow at the noon Living Dayton I will make a beautiful Slovenian dessert from region Pohorje.
Cake name Slovenian omelette or Pohorska omleta. This fluffy, cake like omelette is fold and stuffed in four layers.. A soft cake base spread with cranberry jam or you can substitute with good raspberries , current or blueberries jam, a generous layer of fresh berries, and another layer of mascarpone- whipped cream.
This is not only beautiful dessert , It’s also incredibly delicious, fresh, light and glorious look on your dessert table.
This sweet treat is always great idea to make for a family celebration, Mother’s Day, date or any celebration.
It takes only half an hour to make it!

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Russell Garber long time vendor Garber Farms .market Five Rivers MetroParks Many of you know him “ Grandfather “ of the Market. I cannot imagine the pain and sadness his family and friends all over Dayton area. For more than two decades, I had the great privilege and honor of working at the Second Street Market where Russell. I have a great memory of the years when we were part of the big amazing Market family. I want to share how much Russell means to me and so many others. He was truly one of the most respectful, kind people I have ever known. I will never forget his advice. For a decades I learned from him how to serve the ours beautiful community. I miss his wise words because he always knew exactly what to say when I needed his advice.
I miss early Saturday mornings at the Market when 6 am Russell, Homer owner of the former Spice Rack place and Phill great soul of the Market, Korean war veteran , talking “ seriously “ about past week and life experiences. Listening to them we all laughed and always couldn’t wait next Saturday for new adventures and laughs. Great memories! I will never forget one very hot and busy summer Saturday we are all very tired. Before going home , I asked Russell. If he had a good day at the Market. He stopped and told me “ Every day Azra is good day”. I remember his words often, that every day is good day🙏🏻
He brought so much light to the Market. I know so many of you will miss to seeing him on Saturday, talking or just shakes his hand.
I am so sad to say goodbye. He will never be forgotten. His spirit will live on in this town.
Rest in peace Russell! My deepest condolences to his family and Market friends

🍲🥗🫓🥧 🥬🍃🍛Tonight I made my favorite dinner. Traditional goulash always takes me back home in the Europe. After hours slowly cooking we couldn’t wait to test . So delicious ! Another dish Soparnik. Is Croatian authentic specially from Adriatic costs region. Made with few fresh ingredients with unforgettable flavor . You will after first taste fall in love with this Croatian dish. Soparnik often called green Croatian pie 🥧 My winter vegetables salad with pomegranate molasses, lemon , orange and fresh herbs dressing so rich with flavor that satisfying eyes, stomach and soul 😊 🥗💚
