Founded in the summer of 2025, Buck & Barrel Designs is a proudly veteran-owned small business created by Glenn Smikal, a U.S. Army veteran and 3rd-generation Dayton native. Glenn and his wife, Tonya, chose the name Buck & Barrel as a nod to the heart of their work—handcrafted pieces made from upcycled deer antlers and spent bullet casings, giving new life to materials that already have a story to tell.

What makes this one extra special for us? Buck & Barrel Designs started out just like so many of our vendors do—as Market 535 shoppers. They’ve walked the market, supported local makers, and believed in what this community is all about. Now, they’re stepping into the vendor family themselves, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them. 💛

Each design blends rustic charm with modern style, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that make meaningful gifts for hunters, outdoorsmen, and anyone who appreciates quality craftsmanship.
