Every room has a story. This one is deeply personal.

Designed as a peaceful guest retreat, this bedroom layers warm textures, handcrafted finishes, and a bespoke wall-to-wall upholstered headboard with a collection of framed family heirlooms. Among them are vintage cross stitch pieces and hand painted paper cutouts created by the home owner’s great grandfather during his voyage from Europe to the United States in the late 1800’s.

Memorable interiors tell a story and preserve stories.

Grateful for our talented project partners Theresa Cleven for making this headboard a reality and for Brice Electric, LLC for getting our sconces and Buster + Punch™ switches and covers installed perfectly.

S L O W S T A R T . Bathed in natural light and framed by lush views of the surrounding landscape, this lakeside dining room embraces a warm, organic modern aesthetic rooted in relaxed sophistication. Sculptural forms, layered textures, and soft tonal contrasts create a quiet sense of luxury, while the natural materials and restrained palette evoke the timeless serenity of summer living along the shores of Lake Michigan in Door County. Design visuals, interior architectural articulation, and foundational finish selections for a new-build residence in Wisconsin’s Driftless Region.
Carefully embedded within the hillside, the home is positioned to capture uninterrupted views of the surrounding rugged terrain and rolling landscape.

While we collaborated on the exterior expression, our primary scope centered on the interior, establishing the architectural language and material framework that will continue to evolve through ongoing design support and consultation as the home takes shape.

Art isn’t something we add to a space. It’s something we study, respect, and curate with intention.

On another visit to Madison Gallery in Southern California, much of what captivated us was the work of Donald Martiny, a contemporary artist whose expressive, physical approach to paint changes the way we think about surface, movement, and form.

Martiny’s pieces are alive with gesture, each work the result of a unique motion with wide brushes sponges and his body. His installation at One World Trade Center shows how art can elevate and transform an architectural environment, integrating scale, materiality, and emotion. In this collection of photos, you’ll even see a piece by renowned Cuban artist Ángel Ricardo Ricardo Ríos. His words are vibrant, playful, and exciting.

Experiences like this expand our perspective and sharpen our eye, helping us continue to serve our clients with confidence, no matter the art budget, from $500 to $200,000 and beyond.

This en-suite bathroom retreat was created for our clients’ Central Florida residence, set along a beautiful golf course. Soft blue-gray field tile, sculptural forms, and warm metallic plumbing fixtures work together to create a space that feels calm, considered, and approachable.
