Today was a very good day.
It’s been a long time since I’ve vlogged and this may be the most I’ve ever caught! Haha!

Started the morning with the hops in the Hyundai and Tom Petty.
Headed to the flower market with Red Hot Chili Peppers!
Off the shop with some Brandi karaoke.
Then it was flower processing and a visit from not one, but two neighborhood doggos!
Frankie was so good!
Big moment when Sully got on my lap, we’ve been working on trust since I picked him up once and he was not pleased. Bacon brought us back together!
Erin demonstrated how baseball & flower shops go hand in hand.
Then it was witchy broom class with amazing ladies and a whole lotta mess!

Our industry is reflective of life.
We send flowers for love, celebration, sadness, loss, friendship, birthdays, promotions, sickness and everything in between.
To share those seasons with the same person for 19 years is such an honor.
We’ve navigated tough spots and we are in no way perfect but we are stubborn as hell and ultimately continue to choose one another to navigate life beside, and that takes a whole lot of work and humility.
Our greatest accomplishment & challenge is that we created three remarkable humans that we are so damn proud of (most of the time!)
Not only witnessing but loving a human from age 17 to 40 is incredible, and I can’t wait to see what future years have in store for us.

Did you know our shops tagline is “where community blossoms?”
Is it odd for a floral shop to be centered around the people it serves? Maybe.
Would we have it any other way? Absolutely not.
When the opportunity came around for us to create floral for the incredible Flora Bowley’s Creative Revolution tour in Minneapolis we jumped in.
Creativity & Community are the two foundations our shop is built on and that we wholeheartedly believe have the power to heal humanity.
What makes this all extra cool? Flora grew up in our town . The twins (you know, those 16 year olds) Attended the same preschool she did.

I was taking Flora’s online class at a time in my life where I was filled with so much hope and then I had a miscarriage that cracked me wide open.
I don’t know that I even continued on with that course, I was so angry and sad.

But I did sign up for a retreat that changed my life and looking back I believe it was that course & Flora’s emphasis on bravery that made me go for it.

I found myself again, my rainbow baby made his arrival and now 10 years later I’m getting back to that woman who was so full of hope.

Throughout all of life’s ups and downs it’s been creativity & community that have carried me through.
