SAFETY ALERT – PLEASE READ

One of our department’s 2024 Chevy Tahoes experienced total brake failure while traveling at highway speeds. We had zero braking ability and had to coast to a stop on the shoulder of I65. Thankfully, no one was injured — but the outcome could have been tragic. After restarting the vehicle, the brakes appeared to work again — until the failure reoccurred just 30 miles later. The vehicle ultimately had to be towed over 100 miles back at our expense.

Initially, the dealership offered only to clear the error codes per the service bulletin, stating they would replace the brake master cylinder only if the issue happened again. After raising serious concerns about the safety risk and potential liability of waiting till it did it again, they agreed to replace the master cylinder in accordance with the service bulletin.

Update: After having the brake master cylinder replaced the issue appears to have been resolved. They told us one day but it took four days due to "parts availability ".

If you or someone you know owns a 2020+ Chevrolet or GM be aware of this possible defect. Brake failure is a life-threatening issue.

HB445 was passed out of the Alabama House on 4/10/2025 and sent to the Alabama State Senate. On 4/16/2025, the Senate Fiscal Responsibility and Economic Development passed the legislation to move onto the Floor of the Alabama Senate.

Alabama has “three” legislative days remaining, those are what we call “working days” to pass HB445 and destroy the “LEGAL” h**p industry in Alabama.

Yesterday, 4/30/2025, the Alabama Senate proposed a “substitute” for HB445, and it really doesn’t save the H**p Industry, it’s all for show. (We have uploaded that “sub” in our files in the Alabama Cannabis Coalition group for your perusal and interest.)
