**UPDATE***
I did notice that I received an email from PayPal in my actual inbox this afternoon, from [email protected], stating I had changed my login settings and that a Passkey had been created for my account.
*MINDBLOWING*
I did login to my account this morning, since I very rarely use it, just to double check that it was still active and to provide the "customer" with my QR code so they could send the payment.
I followed a link from the email to remove the passkey, change my password, etc. Thankfully there was no money in the account.

For about a week I had been messaging back and forth with a customer. They were interested in purchasing a sign I had posted on my Instagram page. . After providing them with a quoted price for the sign and shipping to their Florida address, they claimed to have sent me a payment via PayPal. During that process, they sent a message and asked for my email address. I rarely use my PayPal, but I do have an account, and was in the middle of other things, so without thinking to much about it, I provided them with my email address. They then sent several messages back to back asking if I had received the payment. I had not gotten any alerts or emails stating any payment had been received. The customer then sent a message asking me to check my spam folder, which I do, and sure enough- there was an email from "PayPal":
Hello, Oshun

THANKFULLY- the whole email was an immediate red flag for me, and I realized the subject line was [email protected], but the email its self was coming from email address: [email protected].
Suddenly, the customer asking for my email address clicked into place in my mind, and I thought hmm, convenient that my PayPal account is showing me absolutely nothing new and yet this email arrived in my Spam account.....SMH. NO MAM. NOT TODAY!
The "customer" had been persistently messaging me about sending me the additional $200, asking repeatedly if they WOULD BE ABLE TO TRUST ME to send it back to them... PLEASE be so serious lady.
WHO ON EARTH WOULD EVER BE WILLING TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!EVER, FOR A N Y R E A S O N!
I did respond and let them know that I was aware that this was a scam, and would be blocking and reporting their profile, and promptly did so. Smh.
HOW DISAPPOINTING!
I messaged with this person for a week! HOW PERSISTENT!
STAY VIGILANT MY FRIENDS!
