www.BackroadsHomeAndGift.com Backroads Home & Gift is founded by our Owner, Caley Rutherford.

Caley (like Cali, not Kaylee) has almost 23 years of experience in not only retail, but as a wife, mom, daughter and friend. She knows how to find the perfect gift for your special occasion while soothing your baby in her arms while you shop. Her heart is just as big as her passion for Backroads, as giving back to her community is her favorite accomplishment besides her family. We don’t really like to use the word “customers” around here, because Caley sees everyone that comes through her doors (or if you are reading this, clicking through) as extended friends and family. Whether you have been along for the journey of Backroads Home & Gift or are just getting started... welcome. We hope you are okay with a lot of laughs, jokes and maybe a little bit of a non-traditional, unpolished take on shopping. & Since we are family now... we can assure you, we love you more 💙

Why Choose Us? Backroads Home & Gift’s purpose is to ethically source local, handcrafted and USA- Made treasures for customers to enjoy. We strive to provide the experience of a small- business with making each supporter of Backroads feel special and appreciated. From local deliveries to custom gift wrapping, we are dedicated to making you feel like you are part of our family—no matter where you are in the world.

🧸❤️ 3rd Annual Colten Smith for Jessica’s House WARMIES FUNDRAISER ❤️🧸

Backroads Home & Gift is honored to host the Colten Smith Warmies Fundraiser benefiting Jessica’s House.

OPEN NOW THROUGH OCTOBER 23RD

The Smith family created this fundraiser in loving memory of their son, Colten, who tragically passed away at just 19 months old on October 23, 2009.

In Colten’s memory, we are collecting Warmies stuffed animals for Jessica’s House, a local organization that provides grief support to children, teens, young adults, and their caregivers following the death of a parent or sibling.

Jessica’s House provides group support sessions where children can connect with others who understand what they are going through. Each child who attends receives a stuffed animal to hold onto as a source of comfort during their healing journey. ❤️

🧸 YOU CAN HELP! 🧸

Purchase one Warmie or several to donate. We will take care of ordering and collecting them, and Breann will personally deliver all of the donated Warmies directly to Jessica’s House.

To donate, simply click the fundraiser link at the TOP of our website:

BackroadsHomeAndGift.com

Or go directly to the fundraiser here:
https://backroadshomeandgift.com/products/colton-smith-for-jessicas-house-fundriaser-small-junior-warmies-stuffed-animal-baby-kid-microwave-warm?variant=67815370653928

Every Warmie donated means another grieving child will have something soft to hold during an incredibly difficult time.

It may seem like a simple gift, but to a child who is grieving, that little bit of comfort can mean so much. ❤️

Please help us fill Jessica’s House with Warmies and continue Colten’s legacy of love, comfort, and kindness.

🧸 Fundraiser is OPEN NOW through October 23rd. 🧸

Thank you to everyone who has supported this fundraiser over the past three years and to everyone helping us make this year’s collection special.

❤️ In loving memory of Colten Smith. ❤️

We are a vendor Denair Farm & Family Festival Saturday Sept 12th from 9-3pm on Main Street!!

Yesterday I had my 4th surgery in 4 months, so Cheyenne is going to at the show for me so stop by & say hi!!

12/09/2026

🇺🇸 25 years ago today… and I can still remember that morning so clearly.

Andy woke me up, and we sat in stunned silence watching everything unfold on TV. Cheyenne was only 3 years old. I remember sitting there in complete disbelief, trying to understand what was happening and somehow knowing that our world had just changed forever.

And then, in the days and weeks that followed, trying to explain to my little girl what had happened… why the bad guys had done something so horrible to hurt our country. How do you even explain something like that to a 3-year-old? 💔

It’s so hard to believe that was 25 years ago. Cheyenne was just a little girl, and yet the memories of that morning still feel so vivid.

Today we remember the 2,977 lives that were lost, the first responders who ran toward the unimaginable, the families who lost someone they loved, and all of those who served and sacrificed in the years that followed. ❤️🤍💙

I also remember the days after 9/11 — American flags were EVERYWHERE. 🇺🇸 People came together, helped one another, and were proud to stand together as Americans. I wish we could hold onto a little more of that unity today.

25 years later, we remember them. We honor them. And we make sure the generations who weren’t here to witness that day understand why we promised we would NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
