We look forward to joining all the Halloween joy!

🧡Application period runs from Sept 2nd to Sept 30th at 11:59PM CT.🧡

After this period ends, we'll spend the weekend assessing our applications received and final results will be sent Monday October 5th.

Once we get vendors approved the final vendor list will be announced Thursday October 8th!

We are so hype for the new process for markets, and how this will serve the community in a more fair way to give more people the chance to participate!

Meet our new instructor Carey Gibbons, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History at the University of North Texas. On September 25th she will give a workshop on The Victorian Language of Flowers.

This workshop explores the nineteenth-century fascination with floriography—the “language of flowers”—and considers how Victorian artists employed floral symbolism to communicate themes such as love, memory, fidelity, hope, and purity. After examining examples of paintings and their botanical symbolism, participants will create their own symbolic bouquets using a selection of fresh flowers.
Drawing on historical floriography while making their own interpretive choices, attendees will leave with a unique floral arrangement and a deeper appreciation for the ways flowers communicated meanings in Victorian art and culture.

Meet our new photo instructors:

Cade Cargill has been exploring film photography for the last two years with B&W, color, and instant. He’s always been interested in analogue photography and appreciates the romance behind it.

He likes to take photos of friends, strangers, nature, animals, and explore the simplicity and beauty of life through capturing those moments.

When he’s not in the dark room, he is likely with his daughter and cat, playing D&D with friends, or at the movie theater. Cade Cargill

Maria Ruvalcaba has been shooting on film for the past three years and has grown to love the intricate development process.

“While I can appreciate digital photography, I feel most at home behind an analog camera. I take my camera almost everywhere, documenting candid moments of family, friends, strangers, and the places that make me happy. I’m drawn to the subtle details and everyday scenes that others might overlook, finding beauty in simplicity. Outside the darkroom, I spend time exercising, exploring nature, and picking up new hobbies.” maria 𐦍
