THANK YOU DENVER 🌈✨ was a MASSIVE success today. It was one of our best markets EVER (and our best market for kits ever). Huge thank you to this community for welcoming me and being so excited about this sweet little business of mine. I love you, I love you, I love you.

I can’t believe it’s just under THREE weeks before our first holiday markets! ✨
You can catch us in TWO states this holiday season– we’ve been starting to call Colorado home and we are so excited to be at our second Denver market of the year at the on December 6th, and then you can catch us all across Massachusetts throughout the month with a the calendar of holiday markets 🎄

Oh deer! 🦌 I was recently asked in an interview what my favorite piece I’ve ever made is, and without a doubt it’s still this sweet 24” deer that I made the night before my first ever market. He lives in a sweet nursery now. I miss making large scale originals– hoping to get back to them this year!

✨ Yesterday was a pinch-me moment. ✨

I had the incredible opportunity to help manage the HollyGay Market at the House of Blues. From assisting on the back end to working with vendors on the front end, from spending time backstage during the walkthrough and getting to stand on such an iconic stage to getting to vend and connect with customers on the same dance floor I stood on at one of my first real concerts—it was one of the coolest experiences of my life.

This was more than just another market; it was a reminder of how lucky I am to do what I do. I feel so grateful to New England Open Markets for giving me the chance to be part of events like this. It is an honor to work with such talented, passionate small business owners, and even more of an honor getting to work with other q***r makers creating a space that centers and celebrates LGBTQ+ talent, creativity and joy.

Moments like this are truly why I love what I do—creating spaces where small businesses can shine in amazing venues like this. Thank you to everyone who made yesterday so special! 💙🌈

Introducing our first ever ✨KIT FOR A CAUSE✨ supporting the Boston Children’s Hospital Miles for Miracles. 💙🧡
My mom, CJ, will be running her second Boston Marathon fundraising for Boston Children’s Hospital this spring. After my sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor and treated at B*H 12 years ago, this hospital means so much to our family. 10% of all sales from our new See Spot Run kits will be donated to Miles For Miracles. We decided to create a Dalmatian Kit since we’ve had Dals my whole life, and the background and collar colors are inspired by the Miles for Miracles iconic blue and orange checkerboard running kits!
The See Spot Run needle felting kit is currently availible at Snowport, and will be availible to purchase online by Giving Tuesday (12/3)!

Happy Small Biz Saturday! ✨🛍️
When we say we’re small, I mean it. This is it, this is the whole team (minus my father in law, Tom, who’s camera shy). Leaf Pile is made up of just me and my wife Allie, and two of my best friends, and (both small business owners in their own right) who help us out when we need it. I am so, so grateful for this small business and this small village and I could get really sentimental and mushy about how much this community and these people mean to me but I have to make 400 kits by this weekend and I don’t even know if anyone reads these captions so just trust me when I say if you buy something from anyone of us we’ll text the groupchat excited about sales, and I’m pretty sure Jeff Bezos won’t.

✨WHO’S IN THE BOOTH?✨ Oh look, it’s me! Snowport takes a team, and for the past week I’ve been introducing you to the Leaf Pile Team and I figure I should introduce myself, too! I am a fiber artist with a passion for getting people to get creative! I wanted to make needle felting easy and accessible, which is why I developed my kits! I love the Boston small business scene, and I’m in my booth as often as I can be (most Thursdays and Fridays, along with scattered other dates). Outside of Leaf Pile, I also help on the management side of markets with 🌈
