Ever notice a tiny gap between your flooring and the wall in winter or early spring? 👀

Most people think it’s a mistake. It’s not.

Wood and engineered floors are designed to expand and contract with seasonal humidity changes. That small expansion gap around the perimeter prevents buckling when moisture levels rise in spring and summer.

If floors are installed too tightly, that’s when problems happen.
