Welcome to Project Cortez, a Scottsdale Airbnb retreat designed to feel like an experience the moment you walk in.

This living room leans into Contemporary Desert style with a warm, neutral palette layered in rust tones and a hint of turquoise. It’s minimal, but not stark… grounded in organic materials, soft texture, and that easy, sun-washed feeling that makes you want to stay a while.

In today’s competitive Airbnb market, a beautiful space alone isn’t enough. Your rental has to feel like something. It has to tell a story, photograph beautifully, and invite guests in before they’ve even booked.

That’s where thoughtful design changes everything. This isn’t just a place to land, it’s a space people remember, return to, and talk about long after they leave.

Project Cortez is a prime example of how intentional interior design can transform an ordinary space into a modern retreat that stands out above the crowd. If you’re looking to elevate your own short term rental with carefully curated, durable furnishings and a sophisticated aesthetic, get in touch with us today.

Designing kids’ spaces is always a favorite, but this one was extra special. This Boho Modern Girls Bathroom is shared by two sweet sisters, and the goal was to create a space that felt elevated and whimsical—with vintage-inspired charm, a collected feel, and plenty of thoughtful function for everyday routines.

Blush paneling, scalloped details, a white fringe shower curtain, and brass accents bring boho layers of charm and warmth, while the modern checkered floor and streamlined fixtures keep things feeling fresh and balanced.

The vanity moment is where beauty meets real life. As shared with Homes & Gardens, “Vanities with built-in electrical outlets and storage for hair tools are game changers.” The Kohler Malin vanity, in collaboration with Shea McGee, tucks outlets inside the drawers so everything stays plugged in, but out of sight. No cords, no clutter…just a space that actually works for busy mornings and sharing a vanity and hot tools with your sister.

Because the best rooms don’t just look good, they make life easier. ✨

Questions with Peggy—From her interview with Canvas Rebel:

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?

The majority of my local clients have actually been friends or neighbors, which means I see them often and stay connected long after the project wraps. If a lampshade breaks or they need help finding someone to professionally clean their sofa, I’m always happy to jump in and help. When people you know personally hire you, the stakes feel higher—but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.

I make it a priority to make sure every detail is right and any issues are resolved 100%. I want my clients to feel truly cared for—not just during the project, but long after. Word of mouth has been the foundation of my business from the beginning, and I’m proud that so many of my clients turn into repeat clients and friends.

“Peggy did and exceptional job for us. Walking into our home now feels like a totally different home in the best way possible. We wanted a feel that was “high end” without feeling like a museum no one could use. She nailed it. Peggy did an excellent job of actually listening to what our goals and vision were, and matching that to the design she put in place. She communicated perfectly the whole time and was on top of a million details. I would highly recommend Peggy.”

What sets us apart? Peggy’s passion for home!

What drew Peggy in wasn’t just the beauty of design, but the way it can completely transform how we live and feel in a space. She believes a well-designed home nurtures joy, comfort, rest, and hospitality.

Over the years, Peggy has become known for creating spaces full of texture, color, and character—but in a way that still feels calm and intentional. She loves getting into the details, sourcing unique pieces, and pulling it all together so a home truly flows. The best part is when a client walks in and says, “This feels like me.” That’s always the goal, making a space feel personal and meaningful.

This 1985 home had incredible golf course views—but the interiors felt flat and builder-basic.

Instead of tearing everything apart to create an open floor plan, we embraced the layout: widening sightlines, layering natural materials, and introducing architectural moments that give the home soul.

A forgotten formal living room became a moody wet-bar lounge, faux beams lifted the kitchen ceiling visually, and natural stone and warm wood created depth throughout.

Butterflies, flowers, soft lilac walls, scalloped details, and a vanity desk that doubles as a homework zone… this girls’ bedroom is basically a garden daydream.

I love designing kids’ rooms that feel personal and magical without becoming too theme-y. The trick is repeating motifs gently, balancing playful pieces with timeless furniture, and sneaking in storage wherever possible.

If you missed it yesterday, this room is officially part of the RED Readers’ Choice Awards in the Interior Design category!

Once an unused formal living room, this space was reimagined as a seductive wet bar lounge—equal parts glamorous, Colorado rustic, and practical. The goal was to transform a forgotten basic white box into the heart of the home’s entertaining story, layered with rich textures, soulful materials, and sculptural details.

The back wall is clad in handmade black tile with alternating matte and gloss finishes, creating subtle shadow-play. Custom bronze-and-glass shelving floats above Super White dolomite countertops, with dual beverage fridges tucked below for seamless hosting.

Opposite, rich walnut slat paneling and a dolomite-clad fireplace anchor the room with warmth, intimacy, and acoustic softness. Added ceiling beams mirror those in the kitchen, creating continuity and rhythm between the spaces. Custom tailored drapery elongates the windows and softens the moody palette, while a for rug grounds the seating area with rich texture.

Sculptural lighting and curated furnishings complete the layered lounge, striking a careful balance between refined and inviting. Every element was chosen to feel elevated yet comfortable, creating a retreat that shifts effortlessly from cocktail hours with friends to quiet evenings by the fire. What was once overlooked is now an irresistible, intimate destination.

If you’re feeling generous, and especially if you’re one of my very enthusiastic, gold-star, I vote every day super fans (you know who you are 😌), you can vote once per day in the Interior Design category and Renovations category.

No pressure, no expectations… but yes, if you voted yesterday, you can vote again today. And tomorrow. And the next day. (Until January 23rd)

Both voting links live in my bio. Thank you for following along, cheering this project on, and helping give it a little extra momentum out in the world. 🤍
