A primary suite that makes every day feel a little more like vacation.

For this 12,000-square-foot Montauk-inspired Colorado home, we borrowed the ease of the Hamptons without losing the personality. In the bedroom, soft coastal tones meet playful details: blush tufted walls, koi-inspired drawer pulls, layered textiles and a mix of collected pieces that keep the room from feeling too precious.

And then there’s the bath—a sculptural soaking tub, antique chair and vintage rug proving that even the most serene spaces deserve a little tension.

Relaxed, polished and just unexpected enough. Exactly how a retreat should feel.

Continuing our look back at the Kips Bay Decorator Show House NYC 50th Anniversary. 💗

Blush mosaic walls, a sculptural mirror, candy-colored details and just enough contrast kept our powder room playful without feeling precious. Every surface became an opportunity to do something unexpected — right down to the pink sink and the sweets tucked into the bar niche.

These were once closets in a guest apartment. For Kips Bay’s 50th anniversary, we turned them into little worlds of their own.

I loved the idea of creating places to disappear for a minute—to read, curl up, or simply take in the room from a different perspective. The pointed arches gave the niches a sense of architecture, while the soft pink interior created a warm counterpoint to the graphic black-and-white walls.

The artwork is by my grandmother, Elizabeth Monath, so these spaces also carry a deeply personal piece of my family history. And the wallpaper is from my own line with The Vale London, making the whole room feel like a layering of stories—past and present, personal and playful.

Beautifully crafted by Complete Construction New York, who brought every curve, shelf, and detail to life with incredible precision.

Sometimes the smallest spaces are the ones that make a room unforgettable.

Pink zellige from floor to ceiling — who wouldn’t want to start the day here?

The variation, the shine, the imperfect edges—every tile catches the light a little differently and gives this shower so much depth.

An office should mean business—but it should also make you want to stay awhile.

For this one, we went dark and dramatic with Benjamin Moore Black Beauty, wrapping the walls in paneled millwork that hides a secret door to the hallway and powder room. Then we gave all that mood a jolt of color with a seven-foot custom desk stained in Cat’s Eye green, vintage-inspired seating, and plenty of natural light.

A little behind the scenes from last week in Texas. We spent the days styling, tweaking, moving and occasionally holding our breath—as we photographed this incredible, Morocco-inspired home for one of our favorite clients.

Photo shoot days move fast. Every flower, pillow, object and angle gets considered, and there’s always that pressure to get every shot just right before the light changes and it’s time to move on to the next room.

We cannot wait to share the finished images soon.
