I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and this New Year brings you joy. And lots of fiber creating!

It’s been busy around here! I (Dani Snyder) competed on an angora 🐇 palooza team (Hare’s to Ewe) where we took angora rabbit fur, spun it and wove a scarf within 3 hours. We finished 2nd out of 4 teams. It was an amazing experience! Later in the week I went as cheerleader and shepherdess for my sheep to shawl team, Mutton But Trouble. We placed 4th out of 10 teams…so proud of my team for their hard work! We used Iris’ fleece and she won best fleece. 😱 It was an absolutely incredible experience. Both competitions were at the Harrisburg PA Farmshow.

This is the 2nd time in 4 months one of my sheep have won best fleece. It has been an incredibly encouraging experience and has helped boost confidence that my hard work is paying off more than I realize. It has also given me the confidence to advertise my fleeces, so in the coming year I plan to post fleeces for sale. Stay tuned!

I will be at the Isaac Meier Homestead this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm for their Christmas at the Homestead. This is the perfect time to do some last minute Christmas shopping and see what you (or your loved one) can create with some Fiber4Ewe yarn!

I will also have photos of our sheep to purchase, dyed Leicester Longwool locks and adorable teacup pincushions for the sewer in your life!

There are fi*****ng, DK and worsted weights available, and all yarn is $20 per skein. I can meet locally or ship (shipping fees apply). Some people know what they’re going to do with their lives from early on. Some people have an idea, only to find their path drastically changed in college. And then some of us spend our entire lives never quite feeling like there is any real connection to any one thing…something that helps us feel like we are carving our only little niche in this world.

That was me until I stumbled into the world of sheep, and more specifically dyeing fiber. It would be easy to get lost in the regret that I didn’t find this passion sooner, but life ebbs and flows for its own reasons, and I had a lot of wonderful years and memories before wool brightened my world.

I hope this passion can help brighten your world, too, and bring a smile to your face. Because we all deserve some joy—and some squishy mail, too. 😉 🎨 🧶

Fiber4Ewe offers yarn from luxuriously soft Superwash Merino wool that has been hand dyed by Dani Snyder. If you're a fan of squishy mail, you will love these vibrant, soft yarns just waiting for your next project!

Currently, we offer three different weights: Fi*****ng, DK and Worsted. Our goal is to offer a broader range of weights, as well as non-superwash yarn, handspun yarn and batts for spinning from Dani's own fiber flock.

Fiber4Ewe recently debuted at the Shupp's Grove Fiber Festival in Reinholds, PA and we look forward to upcoming fiber festivals and craft shows.

All superwash merino yarns are $20 per skein plus shipping and handling.
