Hi, I’m Erin 👋🏼

If you’re new here: I recently moved from metro Detroit to Denver, CO and have been in a bit of a rebuild season. New place, new job, new friends, new routines, and a new chapter.

Back in Michigan, I built something I was really proud of, and I fully plan to create that again here — this time with even more intention. As with anything worth having, sometimes those things take time.

I’d like to slowly get back to doing what I love: sharing pieces of interior design, thrifts, inspo, and the little detail moments that make a space feel like home.

If you’re into that too, I’m glad you’re here. I can’t wait to show you what I get into ☺️

Coming to you soon, Denver!

📣 Attention Clients: Exciting changes are on the horizon!

I wanted to share that by end of May, I will be relocating to Colorado and, as a result, will not be taking on any new design clients until further notice. The business is NOT CLOSING—just entering a new chapter! 🎉

There will be a few changes in the coming months, and I’ll share more once the dust has settled. I’m so grateful for all of your support and can’t wait to see what’s next. Here’s to new adventures ahead and branching out 😉⛰️

Make your space look more expensive without breaking the bank:

✨ Design Hack: Swap out boring cabinet k***s, drawer pulls or bath towel rods and hooks for high-end, stylish hardware! It’s an easy, affordable upgrade that adds instant luxury to kitchens, bathrooms, and even furniture. You could even spray paint them or use rub ‘n’ buff for an even cheaper option 👌🏼

has the most unique options 😍

Here are examples of my personal favorite, Brass, in projects we’ve completed.

Mid-century modern design (my favorite style) is known for its clean lines, functional form, and a focus on bringing the outdoors in.

Five unique elements of MCM:

+Organic Shapes: Furniture pieces often feature smooth, rounded, or asymmetrical shapes. This can include curved chairs, soft-edge tables, and organic forms inspired by nature, which helped create a balance between modernity and nature.

+Minimalism: Mid-century modern interiors emphasize simplicity. Spaces are open, clutter is minimized, and the design is more about function than ornamentation. It’s all about clean, sleek lines and functional pieces that also serve as visual statements.

+Use of Natural Materials: Wood (especially teak and walnut) plays a major role in mid-century design, alongside glass, metal, and stone. The idea was to embrace natural materials while complementing them with modern touches.

+Bold Use of Color: While the overall palette may lean toward neutral tones like beige, gray, and white, mid-century modern interiors often feature pops of bright, bold colors. Think accent walls, furniture in mustard yellow, orange, or teal, or geometric patterns in textiles.

+Connection to Nature: Large windows and an open, airy layout are key to this style, allowing natural light to flood the interior. Indoor plants are commonly used as decor, and the focus is on blending the living space with the surrounding environment.

How’d we do? ☺️

💡 Did you know that the time of day, as well as the direction of the room impact the way light interacts with pigments in paint, making colors appear differently depending on the lighting conditions? A paint color that looks perfect in one room may look entirely different in another, depending on when and how much natural light it gets.

🧭 Direction of the Room:

+ North-facing rooms: These rooms receive cool, indirect light throughout the day. The light here is often softer and less intense, so colors, especially warm tones like reds, oranges, and yellows, can look more muted or even flat. Cool tones like blues, grays, and greens tend to look better in north-facing rooms because they align with the cooler light.

+ South-facing rooms: These rooms get the brightest and warmest sunlight, with more direct light throughout the day. Warm tones like reds, yellows, and creams will look vibrant and rich in south-facing rooms, while cool colors might appear a bit dull or too cold. South-facing rooms are perfect for showcasing colors that thrive in warm, intense light.

+ East-facing rooms: These rooms get a lot of soft, warm morning light. Colors will look fresh and bright in the morning but will gradually soften as the day goes on. Light colors or pastel tones look especially lovely here, as the warmth of the morning light enhances them without overwhelming the space.

+ West-facing rooms: West-facing rooms get strong afternoon light, which can intensify warm colors, making them appear more vibrant and energetic. Cooler colors may look more subdued and less lively in these rooms. This type of light can cast a golden hue over the room in the late afternoon, giving warm-toned paint a glowing effect.

Been a hot second since we took a stroll down ‘Manor Lane.’ 😉

Love a bright and airy room with a pop of color to ground it. Add in a gorgeous stone fireplace and some sconces, and you have the perfect venue for a cozy night in. 🤎
