Tribute to Tiki, Detroit and my step-father George Nakashima (Restaurant Designer). The Mauna Loa in Detroit opened in 1967. George met my mother while she worked at Chin Tiki also in Detroit.

George is accredited to others as well ,to name a few ( Mai Kai /. Ft. Laudersdale FL, Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse /Farmington Hills/Troy/Dearborn) , Wing Hong’s Tokyo Steakhouse/Farmington Hills, Kon Tiki Ports/Chicago, Kon Tiki / Honolulu, Luau/Beverly Hills)
