Meet the craftsman and artist Rich and his wife Chantal who together make Rough Cut Gifts possible. Rich has been working with wood his whole life and enjoys it very much. Together we make a great team, Rich creates, and Chantal takes on what comes next, listing the products, promoting packing and shipping. We are both enjoying this business venture together and intend to keep making it bigger and
better for years to come. Rich's ideas for new wood crafted products are endless and he keeps getting better and better at it. We will be constantly adding new items on our etsy shop on a weekly basis. Passion for the Old West
Rich started with making western towns in his youth. Rather than paint the old west western scenes he would create them out of reclaimed barnwood. At nineteen years old his art was hanging in Old Sacramento only to have them all stolen while he was helicopter logging up on the California and Oregon border. His artistic spirit was a bit broken until 25 years later he started up again in Logan Utah. We have since moved back home to Northern California. Now open is his newest passion of making all kinds of cool things live edge wood style. He feels free in the sense that he can explore without restraint new live edge wood designs not found anywhere else. New designs on live edge drink flights, live edge candle holders, live edge salt and pepper holders, live edge key holders and coat hangers, and live edge Crosses. Everything in our shop is original and unique. Quality is our number one focus.
