my biggest beadwork project and can finally share 🥳

two years ago, i got invited to brad joe’s crown making workshop.. and fast forward to now, i was given the opportunity to make district 11 princess crowns.. 🥹

the amount of respect and adoration i have for these crown makers is truly astounding 🤗 .. and now being one myself.. im truly proud..

this was no easy task 😮‍💨 but it was worth it in the end.. i beat myself up a lot when i finished bc it wasn’t “perfect” to me, but gave myself grace as well bc it is my first time.. so don’t pick out my flaws bc I’ve already done that eee 😅 no, but i am truly appreciative of the opportunity..

the places beadwork can take you.. a little over four years in my beading journey and i never thought in my life i would be making crowns.. 🥹

can’t wait for the next round.. 🤍

heyyyy! just wanted to check in bc it has been a minute since i have been active..

in november, my second oldest brother passed away.. that really took a toll on me and it still does.. so trying to find the motivation in my daily life, especially beadwork, has been a struggle but God has been good.. that’s where I am able to find my strength. it has been rough but im still moving along bc ik he would want me to.. I can just hear my brother telling me that right now..

ik that some are waiting on custom projects but I have two HUGEEEE projects in the works that I have been working on since October and those have to be done first and will be done in March!

please bear with me as I navigate through these and I promise I have not forgot about you! please be mindful of not just me but all of those in the beadwork business!

beadwork takes time.. time out of our personal lives to create something through blood, sweat and literal tears, for me.

so im asking you to be patient and i will start back on your customs/repairs in March! i hope you all can understand! these big projects have to get done first and i can’t wait to share what i’ve been working on!

my first pair of beaded moccasins 💜🩷💛🧡💚

i have never done something like this, so for my first time, not too bad! i basically had to teach myself 🥲 so be nice!

these were gifted to my brand new niece 🫶🏽 so this pair is definitely more than special to me!

it was a good learning experience for me.. i had some issues and frustrations 😅 but it all worked itself out! 🥰

everything from the sole, the laces, the fabric was all cut and sewn by hand 🥲 so now i’ve created my own template to make more pairs!

i didn’t have a design in mind when making these, i just knew what colors and beads i wanted to use! so i did the design as i went so nothing too crazy but it turned out so good! 🤩🤩

i will definitely be practicing and learning how to make them better before i will take customs and even have a few to sell! 🤭

i am very very proud of how beautiful these pairs turned out for an even more beautiful baby girl 🤍

finally contributed this year and i’m very proud of what i could donate 🥲

this was supposed to be another project but it fell through bc i wasn’t proud of it.. it’s a freehanded design and just tried to let my imagination and skill do its thang 🥲.. well i dug it back out to bring it to its full potential and oooof 🫣

i was cleaning up and reorganizing my beadwork cabinet and came across these 🥲

as a graduation gift, i bought myself these earrings five years ago.. long before i taught myself to bead.

about a year or two ago, the posts came apart and didn’t wear them.. last night i restored them 🥰

this is the beauty of being a beadwork artist. just bc it’s broken or torn apart doesn’t mean that its not worth wearing anymore.. i was able to bring them back to life and im soooo happy 🥲

i kept to the original edging. these were made by another artist and wanted to keep the original design.

very happy that i get to wear them again.

if you guys need any restorations, please lmk! i would love to bring creations back to life 🥲

my first choctaw style beaded collar and im so proud of it 🤗

this custom is all white with 24k gold plated true cut beads, placed sporadically, with custom lettering! 😍

when asked, i kind of hesitated bc ive never made one before and i didnt know how 😅 i really have a habit of saying yes to beaded customs even when i think its too complicated.. to me, that’s the beauty of it and even more when they’re happy with the finished product.. 🙂‍↕️

i had no to little guidance so i honestly just winged it and i can say.. i did tha thanggg 🥲 i looked at another collar and tried to figure it out that way and used the techniques i knew.. ooof.. it was tough in the beginning but once i got the hang of it.. i was flying through it! 🫶🏽

the letters were also designed by me and also my biggest setbacks but they turned out dooope 🤭

this was a really fun custom! looking forward to doing more!

another custom grad project for a really good friend of mine’s son 🤗

they wanted a CNO medallion and i was given two colors and told to work my magic and i believe i did the thang ✨ working with only two colors can be tuff but i think it turned out pretty well ☺️

there’s a theme with this medallion.. the diamonds 💎 you can see them in within the medallion design, the chain and the backing 😮‍💨

i enjoyed this project a lot! i have some down time to work on other things before my next big project so stay tuned while chahtafied cooks it up in the beadwork lab! 🤍
