Big news y’all!!!!!! I’ve been selected as a participant in the XR Impact Creators Lab: a six-day intensive program co-presented by NEW INC and Agog: The Immersive Media Institute.

NEW INC is the first museum-led cultural incubator, born out of the New Museum’s commitment to new art and new ideas. Agog is a philanthropic organization equipping social change makers with the creative, technical, and financial support to harness the power of immersive media for good.

Together, they’ve built a lab where artists, organizers, scholars, technologists and SCENT STORYTELLERS! ✨ learn more about immersive storytelling: virtual reality, augmented reality, 360° film, and more, and put it in service of real-world impact.

For me, participation in this lab is beyond personal. Not only is it a total honor to be amongst such bad ass, passionate storytellers, it’s further confirmation from the Universe and my peers that scent has a place amongst our most powerful storytelling practices. So far, I have witnessed, learned about and participated in activities I didn’t even know were possible this time last week. I’m inspired, I’m energized, my brain is spinning ... and I’m JUST GETTING STARTED!!!!!!! I can’t wait to share more with you all! 🖤🖤🖤

Freedom has a scent. Liberation has a scent. Lifting each other up has a scent.

On Friday, June 19th, come scent ALL of it with us at ASCENSION, our Juneteenth guided scent storytelling workshop. You’ll be guided through translating your memories of rising and your visions of elevation into a custom candle you craft with your own hands. In community. With good people beside you.

Right now we need ALL the spaces where we can regulate, reconnect, and remind each other that we are still here. Still rising. And STILL FREE.

Ebola. The Voting Rights Act gutted. Cuba in the dark. And we’re supposed to be focusing on emotional wellness this Mental Health Awareness Month?!
