A floor outlet seems pretty simple until you start working backward.

Where does the sofa go? How big is it? Where do the floor joists run? Where does the rug land? Can the lamp cord reach?

All of that for one outlet.

Hear me out…

💡 Put blocking in for grab bars now even if you’re young and spry
💡 Opt for the good lighting, including LED in your toe kicks
💡 Put quad outlets at the bedside. Lamps, chargers, CPAP machine, fans for hot flashes, you never know, and a double won’t cut it
💡 Steam shower is worth the fuss
💡 The only thing that makes a room feel small is a small footprint. Go for the dark colors!
💡 Bidet seats are worth the fuss
💡 Sheetrock returns on your windows aren’t as cool as you think they are
💡 Wallpaper everything
