What’s really trending now is baskets and vases full of the same type of flowers!!! Whether it’s a wicker basket of just daisies or a vase of simple babies breath, it’s all about vintage and casual lifestyle! Could you imagine curling up with a book here!🌸🪴🌷🤍🌱💕

OBSESSED with everything about this look!!!! Found this photo on Facebook and it is giving me so much inspiration for my home I just had to share!

The green color is spot on perfection…then the wood beams and the vintage doors are my dream room!!! And the simple greenery pieces keep the calm feeling in the room!

Pools ready for the summer!!!🏊🏻‍♀️🌸🌞

What a fun time of year, kids are out of school and the summer weather is here! This season the pool and shed decor is shades of soft pink, green and tan! If you know my style, it is mixing vintage and new decor to get a comfy and homy feel! Now to sit back, relax and enjoy the pool parties and the grandkids!

Here is a list of my favorite things outside and inside the pool shed!

1. The black poly wood furniture which has been there for years, sits out all winter and still looks brand new! And no cushions to clean and replace! These are from Wayfair!
2. The wicker furniture is from Walmart, love that it has swivel chairs and the tan is a great contrast with all the black poly wood furniture!
3. Of course all the artificial flowers are from Down Home Decors pop up spring sale! The best part is they are maintenance free and not messy out by the pool like real ones are!
4. The covered patio is a must!!! After being in the pool with all the sun, it’s nice to have the shade!
5. Having everything we need in the pool shed, so we aren’t running to the house a lot! The bathroom, kitchen and fridge are a must have!
6. Storage for all the pool floats and accessories!
7. The best part is all my floral supplies, paints and tools are stored in all the cabinets out there so I can still craft and design all summer! You know I love to redo a thrifted find!❤️

DHD…Design on a Dime!!!

This DIY is so simple and such a great idea!!! If you have an outlet that is not attractive with your decor, simply get some child proof outlet plugs and a hot glue gun! Figure out where you need to hot glue the plug onto your picture so it will completely cover the outlet! Let the hot glue dry and
plug it in!!!

This vignette turned out just adorable!!!

What a beautiful Friday!!!🌞🌞🌞

Getting the pool shed ready for summer and a piece I decorate for all seasons is this custom black iron window frame! Different ways it has been decorated are, wreaths, signs, metal wall pockets and wicker baskets! A piece that has multiple uses is a keeper!

Putting a garden in is such a great way to get healthy food!!!

We had the perfect spot for these raised beds behind our pool shed! We got them on Walmart for 99 dollars and shipped for free! Great quality and would highly recommend these!

Do you put a garden in??? Is it a raised bed or in the ground??? One thing I love to plant is herbs! Some of my faves are cilantro, basil, mint and rosemary! Cooking with fresh herbs is the best!!!🍅🌱🫛🧅🥒

DHD…Design on a Dime!!!

It’s been a bit since I’ve done a Design on a Dime!!!

This grouping is right outside of the pool shed door! My goal here was to have different heights and textures in the pots and the florals but still be cohesive with my patio decor, which is shades of soft pink, light green and whites!

What I Love about this grouping…
1. The white rose bush is a unique piece and also gives some height to the grouping! The black pot with the wood legs is just a fun piece!
2. The green topiary ball gives dimension, while the all weather wicker pot gives texture!
3. The dainty pink and white floral works perfectly in the sage green pot!

You know what Mother’s Day weekend means??? It’s time for beautiful flowers!!!

Whether you do real or artificial, they are all beautiful!!! In my situation I Love artificial! If you select high quality silk florals it really makes a difference!

This morning was 32 degrees outside and my flowers will be fine, and when it’s 90 degrees outside they will be fine!

This summer I decided to do a soft pink hydrangea and keep it simple! The areas I used them in are the driveway pots, the wicker baskets on the front door, the window boxes, and in the ground at our turn around drive where I can never get anything to grow!

Pool pictures to come, where I will continue the soft pinks, greens and creams!

Do you do artificial florals, real florals or a mix???

It’s all about the spray paint!!! My black bird lanterns just blended in with the black vase! Spray paint is everything when it comes to saving money with your decor! This project was super simple, just one coat of white paint and than I sanded them so some of the black showed through! Making the new piece look more vintage! The birdcages reallly stand out more now!🖤🐧🤍
