A Star is Born-Metal Art

A Star for Every Occasion-You name it, I make it. YOU take it ⭐️ I'm Tawnya and I make handcrafted stars. Keep in mind he's NINETY ONE!

My 91-year-old Grandpa Don has been making these stars in his shop in Utah for many years and has passed on the craft to me. For the last few years, I've been taking stars he sends in the mail and finishing them off with decorative paper, ribbons, and bows. Last year I began taking this star-making thing more seriously and decided to build my own star shop here in Colorado. In February I went to visit and to learn and returned with 100 lbs of tools and star-making supplies. Since then my Grandpa has taught me through text--video tutorials, photos, and advice. Each star is handcrafted, start to finish...flattened from rolls of galvanized steel, hand-cut, filed and bent...each one is then uniquely decorated with paper, ribbons, bows and adornments. Almost all of the tools I use to make the stars were also made by hand by my Grandpa. When you buy one of these stars, you're buying a piece of me AND him and are getting a product made with love and passion. I'm excited to share with you what I create!

Every star is cut by hand from galvanized metal with the tools my Grandpa Don made for me, then papered and topped with a bow and a jingle bell. This year I’m making sizes from 6" to 22" ($12–$50), and yes, LOTS more of the little ones since they disappeared first last time. 👀

Can’t wait? Message me now to get first pick, or ask about a custom star in your colors. I take custom orders all year! 🎨

It was last Christmas Eve that my Grandpa Don passed away. I miss him so much but am so grateful he gave me the gift of star making!

The small stars are officially history ⭐️
I’ve still got a few larger, one-of-a-kind stars left—and they make clutch last-minute gifts you can pull out every year without re-gifting guilt.

Grab one before they disappear too.
