Under The Needle has just been updated with the latest installment. I am currently engaged in working with several new fabrics, which I am fashioning into placemats, runners, and table mats. I find the process of making them highly rewarding. The current batch is now available in the store. I am especially drawn to the colors and contrast of this fabric. It also reminds me of my mom, who had a fondness for geraniums.

Lately, I have been intensely engaged in cutting and sewing pursuits. I regularly describe this activity as my therapeutic escape and a source of enjoyment. As such, I am pleased to introduce my ongoing projects, dubbed Under The Needle. The initial installment features an assortment of flags. Constructed from leftover materials and embellished with vintage buttons, rusty stars, and hand-stamped expressions, I am finalizing them while at the shop today.

The grandfather was in WWI and received a PH which is envraged and numbered. This is a type 1 ph. It is numbered in the 5###x range. Official engraving. The wwii usn good conduct medal is named and numbered on the back. The post wwii medals are national defense and coast guard good conduct.

I have 10+ pages of research that comes with it. Amazing collection, once time offer of a 3 generation grouping!

The Vintage Shops is currently undergoing substantial changes. Today, we focused on moving, cleaning, and reorganizing the downstairs space. Since the renovation is not yet complete, we will be closed on Tuesday to put the finishing touches on our new look. Are you drawn to the mid-century aesthetic? These end tables have been a part of my family's heritage since my parents acquired them in the 1950s. They remained in their living room throughout my childhood and have been passed down to me. The accompanying lamp is also an original piece from their living room and can be purchased separately. The tables are crafted from solid cherry, featuring double drawers and dovetailed construction, demonstrating superior quality. Following a house fire in the late 1960s, they underwent refinishing and have since maintained their excellent condition. With dimensions of 23"d x 20"w x 28.5"h, comparable pieces are listed on eBay for over $300. I am offering each table for $200 or the pair for $375, anticipating that they will endure for generations to come.
