We are excited to have acquired a limited supply of yarn bowls, hand-made by Johanna Drzyzga of Wing and Petal Studio. Each one is as beautiful as it is unique, and would make the perfect gift for any knitter or crocheter. And at $40, the price is perfect as well.

A little friend stopped by the shop today. He admired the knitted garden edging,snacked on a few dahlias, and listened to our conversation about knitted gloves.

Blocking is not my favorite pastime, but I have to admit it is an important step that should not be skipped - makes a huge difference in the final product.
We’ve searched for a commercially available wooden blocking frame - easier to use than wires - but so far no luck. If anyone has contact info for a finish carpenter who might enjoy an easy gig, please let us know.

Ocean Purls will open at 1:00 pm (instead of our usual 10:30 am) on Saturday, March 28, to attend the No Kings rally in front of the National Seashore Visitor’s Center. Please consider joining us or participating in a rally close to you.
