A shared prayer for all who feel tested and torn…

Dear God,

Thank You for seasons of divine testing. Thank You for never hesitating to test us when You are ready for us to step into a new chapter of life. Most importantly, Thank You for allowing every test offered to be an open book test, with You as our teacher, revealing truth of what needs improvement or removal.

We pray that You will listen to all our asks through these tests and hear us through our times of challenge. We ask that You will grant us Your peace, Your grace and Your strength. May it rain down over us especially in times of weakness or vulnerability, easing our sensitive hearts and our minds as we might sometimes feel like these tests are more than we can bear. Help us to understand Your purpose.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You would draw near to us, lead us, guide us and shield us in all truth, allowing us to witness Your works and Your light as You reveal why these tests are necessary for our continued lifetime.

We pray You silence the voice of the enemy who has been trying to convince us that this test is going to break us. It’s not. In Your name, we ask that You remove all that is not of You, or part of Your plan for us. No matter what challenges we face, may we hear Your words, and understand that any test was “not” designed to break us, but only to assist in washing away any past flesh in order to become a new being moving forward, strengthening our souls preparing us for a place in heaven.

Holy Spirit, help us to stay in understanding of every test, for on the other side we will see and live in your reward.

Please bless us Lord in every way that even our own words can’t describe. In Jesus’ name, amen.

MonaLeafa floral art isn’t just simple craft projects.

As the artist, I create each shadow boxed art piece with precise planning and placement of each design element that’s incorporated. The process of preserving and preparation alone takes time and patience.

It’s not an easy job to work with and handle preserved petals properly, however, the journey has been a beautiful blessing nonetheless most especially to have this gift of knowing how to create with significant meaning.

An inquiring customer asked me the other day, “Aren’t you afraid of someone else trying to replicate your flower art or business idea for MonaLeafa Designs?”

My answer:

There will always be someone who will try their best to copy or steal ideas when it comes to business or art, this is a given.

What’s important for any entrepreneur to understand for their our own personal development or growth is the focus of “what makes the idea and/or business venture unique compared to others.” Once they understand this, that’s when God begins to open doors.

Creativity isn’t a job skill, it’s a signature. People can’t copy passion or instinct🌹

Most people can’t do the work long enough to get what they want. My experience has been that you can’t just survive it, you have to crave it, it’s really that simple. Life will always have its ups and downs, but you have to get up, push on, and keep trying no matter what it throws at you.

Even if it’s all done in silence, your hard work will speak for itself over time as you sharpen through the process of building your dream.

I can honestly share that even though the growth of my business over the years has only had the moving strength of a herd of turtles, I’ve still continued to remain positive and know the blessings will continue to always remain present because of my faith.

The motto: “Work until < IT > works.”

It will all come together in God’s timing 💖

It’s been an adventure and a true blessing to say the least from start to finish. Blessing to have had the opportunity to create what I believe turned out to be a beautiful, keepsake art piece for the Vera family. 🌳💍

It was a tough task planning and cutting out sections of the wood canvas, however, after building and planning placement, it flowed perfectly together. With the wedding bouquet/ arrangement, I melded the petals and leafs forming them into a tree of life form, in order to represent the newly shared life/union.

Other materials incorporated were their champagne bottle as the tree trunk, which is the actual bottle they shared together at their wedding celebration, the bride’s veil that I lined the wood canvas and I also decided to pull through certain areas I had cut out to help with the balance and also encapsulate where the bottle sat inside the canvas as well as the small wedding vase.

More items incorporated were the wedding handkerchief, wedding invitation, wedding cake alebrijes, wedding sparklers, wedding garter and printed and included their wedding vows/quotes to each other on the canvas — leaving all items intricately secured and formed into one memorable art piece.

The framing is a custom, wood shadow box frame with velvet matting to help enhance the color scheme they had at their wedding.

All in all, this family gave me free reign to use my creative skills which I’m grateful for, however, through the process I remained committed to having full transparency for the design, from the sketched idea to start, cost for materials, time it would take, and even the experienced hiccups that occurred causing delay throughout.

I did my best to not only capture their wedding memories, but also the colors and theme as well.

I am so glad they fell in love with their art and that it is now finally a forever art piece for their home❤️

MonaLeafa Designs are created with love, purpose, and honor of life celebrations. It’s a unique type of art which is why the Tree of Life design on canvas gains significance because majority of the custom designs are created to celebrate a life once lived.

All floral art is customized with actual petals, leaves and memorabilia from these actual celebrations-passings, weddings, anniversaries, Quinceañeras- the “Leafa” use in the business title, shows favor in similarity to that of “lisa” in the famous well known art piece, highlighting not just the cleverness in the title but also the uniqueness of each custom art piece.

Everything created has purpose, as the business motto is to help uplift, encourage and inspire individuals’ hearts.

The custom piece shown in the images is an example created for a family member’s father that passed on. This floral piece portrays the sacred heart symbolism of love, devotion and sacrifice honoring the family members father’s lifetime shared with her.

I get asked this question often by clients…

Am I still able to give you roses that have already began fading?

The answer is yes. Receiving roses partially faded is perfectly ok. I can still work with what you have. I am able to use the same preservation process.

Fun Fact: Flowers, especially roses, often harbor a plant bug and if these bugs are not eliminated the proper way, even during the process of natural preservation, you will risk the bugs eating away at the petals.

The images shared are of a recent completed floral art design. An example created with faded white roses that were already turning color when received. It has been completed on an 18x14 canvas and shadow boxed into a white frame.
