This is the finished product from the job we laid at the end of last week—installed directly on the floor joists. Not the typical way to do it, but it turned out extremely solid and we have one very happy customer!

Most companies would have walked away from this one.

They installed plywood and glue-down carpet right over the top of these beautiful maple floors… which makes it extremely tricky to bring them back to life — and very rough on the machines.

But that’s the part we love.

Peeling back the layers, grinding through the glue, and slowly revealing what’s been hidden for years. It takes patience, the right equipment, and a whole lot of sanding — but watching maple come back to life is always worth it.

Boarded all the tile and fireplace! I wish everything in a house was perfectly square… but if it was, anyone could do it. Brazilian Cherry is one of the hardest woods out there, which definitely makes it tougher to work with — but the end result is always worth it.
