One of my favorite parts of being an antique dealer is learning the history of an item I’ve never seen before. This is a plate from a Charles Weeghman lunch counter from Chicago which i currently have listed on ebay. If you’re not familiar with Charles Weeghman, he built the stadium later known as Wrigley Field. He was also an early owner of the Cubs. Look at the capital C with the HAS inside. Does it look a little bit like the Cubs logo?!

Open Friday and Saturday from 10 until 4. Also, the shop will be open during the Edwardsburg Michigan Memorial Day parade, which will pass by the shop. We will be open that day from 10 until noon. We hope to see ya!
