I have been doing some quilting on my pathfinder. This quilt was made long before I ever bought this thread. But I broke down and bought dome King Tut cotton quilting thread. This thread was MADE for this quilt! The purples the blues, and even the aqua, all show up in the quilt and the thread SAME COLORS!

I have had a project going for a while. 3 quilts for the grand kids of an old friend we worked together 30 years ago. Now one of twin boys wanted quilts for his kids. I made Ryan (and his brother Tyler) quilts when they were born. Ryan decided that after his babies used his quilt when they were babies, he wanted all of them to have quilts of their own. His kids received their quilts this weekend.

The quilt top is done and of course I'm thinking i should have added 1 more row to the center. Just so all the corners would be the theme fabric. Ugh! To late now. Measures 35x39. A cute Lil quilt for a new little boy.

I have had a few projects goin on just waiting on things to slow down to post them. Since im current searching for some lost binding iv cut, that time is now. Ill explain each one on the pics.

In the spring(it mighta been a year ago) my neighbors bought a new couch the throw pillows that came with the couch flattened in just a couple months. So that was their Christmas present.

New fluffy pillows for the couch. Iv been thinkin about this since about June or July. I even took fabrics over to see how they looked with the couch. Apparantly i have real issues with decorating someone elses house tho. A week ago i sent Talia a text with pics, and she chose the fabric. Pillows and holiday sleves were done in a week. Talia loves them! The gray "all is calm all is bright" was actually the first sleve i made. It is to big for a sleve, i had to reload all the patterns! I used the too big one in its own pillow. It has its own story!

I used that gray fabric on the backs of tablerunners a few years ago. I know the rest is around here. Somewhere. I searched for 2 days! Found an open water bottle-with water on it! And a mug i have never seen before in my life! Couldnt find the fabric! It had to be that fabric. On a trip to walmart, i bought more, 1 yard. Good thing i did too i have 6 inches of it left! It had to be that fabric cus its the same color as the thread in the stitching! It is perfect. It will be neighbors seasonal pillow.
All 4 are covers for pillow forms. They can be removed and washed. The sleeves just slide over.

My 2 favorite people both read a rediculous amount of books. Both also read books involving fairies. Ive been thinkin of this for a long time... what if they could become fairies! If for only the time they wear their jackets? When Walmart got on their Zip up hoodies this year i bought 2. I told them what was happening, my sister even came over to pick out colors for her wings. Its part of their christmas but i wanted them to be able to wear them while it was chilly, before it got to cold.
To say they were both happy to get wings, would be an understatement. The left one even sparkles a lil bit, thanks to metallic irridecent thread.

These would be so cute on little girls!

Inside seams getting covered on a quilted makeup bag. It never fails, one side I goes down like God sent the angels to hold it down for me. The other side has to be pinned within an inch of its life and a hammer and nails would really be more effective.

Both of these will be available for $8 each at the Dieterich Women's Club craft and Artisan show on the 30th

This might make me look bad, bashing another makers work, but when you get to the point that you dont care what it looks like, just stop. Find another hobby.

I didnt take "before"pics and i should have. This is a very simple table runner it's two pieces of fabric sewn together lengthwise and then the ends are sewn together, envelope one end and then turn inside out. One end on this thing didn't even match they didn't even line it up. The other end on it was just so poorly sewn, the thread is like rope, the tension was bad there's three layers of thread in it and add back stitching on top of that! It is a nightmare to remove all of it.
When sewn properly and the seams opened and the tension is correct and you're not sewing with rope that you got off your boat it, lays flat! Even right at the tip it's flat, you are allowed to cut off excess seams.

just so you can see what I'm talking about, in the picture with the thread, the thread I'm sewing with is on the left the thread I'm digging out of this thing is on the right.

When you care about what you are sewing it shows in the quality of your work.
