Subway tile gets a bad reputation for being overdone, but the truth is most people have only seen it laid one way. Here are a few different ways our designers have laid it in bathroom remodels lately.

Stacked straight for something clean and classic. Herringbone for movement. Vertical to make the space feel taller. Offset for a subtle twist on the original.

Which one do you want to see in your shower remodel? 🧱

TODAY IS THE DAY!!💙 Sappy post incoming!!

Last week, in the middle of all the moving chaos, we took a moment to slow down and put our mark on our new space. Before Brian, our installer, closed up the new window shade display he built, every one of us signed the boards hidden inside it.

Those signatures are now sealed away where no one will ever see them, but will be right in the heart of this showroom for generations to come. Just like the generations of Wrights who built this business long before us.

Since 1889, this family has believed that a home should be filled with things made with care, chosen with love, and meant to last. Five generations later, that hasn’t changed. It’s just found a new home.

Every corner of this space was designed with intention. From the layered textures and handpicked fabrics to the vignettes our designers styled piece by piece, this showroom was created to inspire. It’s a place to touch the finishes, test the colors, and dream up the spaces you’ve always wanted to come home to.

This building was built for YOU. For your homes, your dreams, and your stories. And today, we finally get to open the doors, share it with our community, and help you design the next chapter of your home.

Thank you for being part of our story. We can’t wait to welcome you in💙

MOVE IN VLOG: DAY 3

This vlog marks the end of our move in series! Today was full of organizing, cleaning, touching up paint, hanging decor, and putting alllllll the finishing touches on our new building.

It’s hard to believe that on Monday we’ll FINALLY be sharing this building with our community. It’s been crazy watching this space transform over the past 7 months, and locking the doors last night proved that every ounce of it was worth it.

When you’ve been in business for five generations, you’re constantly changing and evolving. This building is another example of that, and it marks the next chapter for Wright at Home. More products. More design. All with the same quality that’s been tied to the Wright name for almost 140 years.

We cannot wait to show you everything we’ve done, welcome you into our new showroom, and share the future of this business with you.

See you MONDAY at 307 S Willow St, Effingham, IL!!!!💙

MOVE IN VLOG: DAY 2

After 4 days, every last sample has officially made it into the new building!!!🥳 Which meant we spent the rest of the day organizing them all😅

We also brought over the little bit of furniture from the old building and got our FIRST load of ROWE FURNITURE, plus Uttermost and Surya!!! The girls jumped right into decorating vignettes and putting pieces together, while the guys finished installing displays and assembling furniture.

This was a HUGE day. The space is finally starting to feel like it’s coming together, and we can’t believe that on Monday we get to share it with you. We hope you love it as much as we do!

See you in tomorrow’s vlog!!💙

MOVE IN VLOG: DAY 1

This move has been ALL hands on deck as we closed our doors and started making our way across the road to our new building.

Devin, Brian, and Juice put all their flooring measures on hold. Tom came out of retirement. And the girls pressed pause on every project to make this happen.

What you won't see in this video? The two days before this, when we moved most of our showroom across the street😅 More on that soon!

But for now, enjoy the chaos of moving this family business into its new home!💙

09/23/2026

We’re officially CLOSED to move!!!💙

We'll be closed the rest of this week so we can pour every ounce of attention into our new space. Then, next time we open the doors, we’ll be welcoming you all into our new space!!

We've been dreaming about this for a long time, and we can't wait for you to walk through these doors. See you on the other side of this move!🏡

Choosing the right window treatment is not something you should have to guess at🪟

That is why our designers do not just hand you a sample book and wish you luck.

We come to your home, hold the swatches up in your actual light, and help you see how each option will really look against your walls, your furniture, and the way the sun moves through your space throughout the day.

It’s just one more way we make sure every choice feels right before it’s made🤍

Happy 25th anniversary to The Cross in Effingham!🎉

For a quarter century, the Cross has stood as a symbol of faith, hope, and welcomed our community and every traveler passing through Effingham. We are proud to say we have a small piece of that history.

Our team had the privilege of redesigning the Welcome Center, from the flooring throughout the building to the window treatments and furniture. It is a space made for greeting people, and we are honored that our work is part of the first impression so many guests receive.

As a family business that has called this area home since 1889, being part of a landmark built to last for generations is something we hold close to our hearts.

Tonight the Cross will be holding a celebration from 6 to 9 pm with food, live music, and even Effingham's very first drone show at 8!

Congratulations to everyone at the Cross on 25 wonderful years!❤️
